Sort of compliments the other thread. Lol


I was just thinking that not even the disciples believed Jesus had risen until
they saw Him for themselves.

Yet Jesus told doubting Thomas, blessed are those who have not seen but yet believe.

So Hey folks we are all blessed!


I was just thinking though that we still see the resurrected Jesus in our hearts and
minds. He plants that faith in our hearts so that we can know without doubt that
it really is true!


John 20:29 NKJV
[29] Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have
believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
 
I keep picturing Mary M. What happened to her in the parts we're not shown? She sees Jesus. Gets all kinds of excited, goes skipping through Jerusalem, (and I can see her doing stuff like this as she runs

), rushes up the stairs to that really big room of disciples, explodes into the room, so very excited to tell them, does tell, and what do they do?

"Nahhh! Take it easy, Darlin'. Settle down. Settle down! Here, have some water."

And then, "You saw what? Oh, I'm so sorry. This must have been a figment of your imagination. We all want him to still be alive, but we have to face facts. Come on, honey. Settle down. I know. I know. You think you saw something, but you couldn't have seen...." (With a big hint of, "Womenz folk. They're always so emotional. Do you ever think they'll get to the point of using their brains, instead of their hearts" thrown in.)

By the time Jesus comes to them, several women and two men (the Damascus Road guys) have told them they've seen him. BUT no one believes any of them until Jesus is standing in the room with them.

And then Thomas goes through his denial, after Jesus shows up, Jesus comes again, and everyone in the room is nodding their heads like, "I knew it all along."

Yes women men are so emotional aren’t they. :)

They probably went through all the same arguments that still rage today,
did the Romans take away the body or the Jews, was it mass hysteria,
maybe He wasn’t really dead etc.

Thank goodness for the women!
