The Old Covenant is truth. The New Covenant is truth. But, the NC has replaced the OC. If you read Hebrews 7 and 8, you will find your answers. And Galatians pretty much tells it all.
If you are determined that your religious sect is correct, and not be open to what the Holy Spirit is saying in those books, then you will never understand.
Here are a couple of verses that helped me understand:
"But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones (the Ten Commandments), was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit (Jesus' blood shed for us) not be more glorious?" 2 Cor. 3.
"You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law, you have fallen from grace." Gal. 5. ("Fallen from grace" does not mean have become 'unsaved.')

lol alot of stubborn people here it's ridiculous, deep down they know the truth but the pride won't let them admit it, your only doing yourself wrong no one else, actually your also doing this to the young peope and you all will be judged for it, know how many young people are trap in this adventist thing, i believe with all of their heart because they obsorb this day they are all going to heaven once they do no wrong on that day they are good and they have no idea what it feels to be born again, honestly shame on all of you that continously carrying on this nonsense... your not only affecting yourselves but others too.. if you wanna carry yourself down do it yourself but don't go spreading it.. so others can do the same after, instead of preaching the holy spirit and receive salvation to the young people all you do is telling them to be self righteous, i'm upset over this because i got so many friends caught up in it and they won't listen to me if i talk to them, neither will they understand what the holy spirit is, and the only way anyone can come to salvation is by letting go their own understand and letting God in.

bible said surrender to the cross daily, not surrender to law daily that means you all wanna be righteous yourselves instead of letting God make you righteous through his spirit, the bible even said the law was weak to the flesh that is why God came, but yet people putting law infront of God

Love does fulfill the righteousness of the Law and bless you for saying that....Yet, some still believe that their righteousness is through the works of their flesh.
I remember when Mother Theresa died and people said that she went to Heaven because she done so many good things.
Then I look at another person who did deeds because he loved and not because he sought his righteousness through fleshly obedience, but spiritual obedience. I notice people accursed him, even called him a worker of Satan. But, through love he forgave and required not the hammer of the Law to be thrown at them, as the Law requires of false accusers.
It is amazing how the Law requires certain actions to be carried out, even in instances of false accusers and if a person does not comply with the whole Law, then that one is a transgressor of the Law. But notice how the above person did not carry out the whole Law, and yet can it be said of him that he is a transgressor of the Law, although all which he did was in agreement to God's will (namely, love), even death upon the Cross?
What confuses me is why would I want to take glory from God. If I control my salvation by works and obedience, what does God do?
if my salvation is by God's grace! And my works and obedience are done out of love for God, then God has all the glory and I am simply a servant.

i'm honestly upset about it bro, i mean i got so many friends when i think about, they don't know God all they know is law they have no idea about the holy spirit because they grew up in the 10 commandment thing throughout their life, it makes me sad when i think about it... sometimes i just wanna take a bible and show them the truth but then i realize the bibe is a complete mystery to those without the holy spirit so it wouldnt make sense i sometimes go to the church services though to see what happens and all i was hearing was the pastor saying that God is gonna come for us those who kept his sabbath and the other commandments, it's demons vs demons.. with these creeds then i also go to a pentacostal church and all i hear there is when God comes for us we are the right denominations etc etc, my soul is aching though there isn't many true born again churches out there, God send the holy spirit he never said to make denominations

That means, putting our Lord's sacrifice to shame. When you have some "man of God" get up in-front of that group and all he teaches is salvation and baptism; that is blasphemy. Why ? If there is one unsaved person there, then it is okay, but not when it is known that every individual has accepted Christ, and been baptized.
Why? Christ does the saving, and after one is saved, all it takes , Is repentance.
Man will always mess up in a flesh body, and he will also need repent to the Father in Jesus name after he has sinned, because we all fall short.
The freedom that we have in Christ is to be able to repent as our sins come to our attention, and not be tied to the guilt of those sins.
That is what the passage means. It's not talking against repentance, that makes No sense since, it is written ; Repent :

exactly..! amen to this, it's just people would do no matter what, they wanna do extras why? i don't know but God only accepts one thing all other extras is in vain, look at cain and abel, you know now that i think about and look at it, it's the same spirit that passes down throughout the generations, because God said Love fulfils the law, that is like the offering that abel gave to God but yet to some people this isn't enough to must search and find more to give God, but look what happen to cain God didn't accept his offering God only sticks to the true thing no extras.

ok those are the key words to look at, they were enlightened experienced something extra ordinary the holy spirit was reveal to them, they tasted the heavenly gift, they never received it they had a glimpse of the power of the holy spirit, they were partakers, once again they never received it they were among the presence of the holy ghost so they were made partakers of it

they were among the supernatural presence of the holy spirit and they notice the powers of the spirit that will be in the world to come, but guess what did they come to true repentance after witnessing this presence and being among this presence? lets see what they did

despite seeing and being in this holy presence of the holy spirit, they still fall away and run back to their man made creed and for that it is impossible for those who have done this to come to repentance

Hello to all my brothers and sisters in Christ God bless you all and peace be unto Okay so I have been looking at this thread and one other pertaining to this very topic, which seems to be about The Law(Ten Commandments), and from my brief overview it seems to be two mind sets, one agreeing that the Moral Law aka Ten commandments are still set in place, meaning God wants us to obey them, and on the other hand, or other mind set, the Law, that is the Moral law, is done away with and we are freed in Christ. Is this correct? and if so it is a simple way to have a conclusion among the confusion, Gods Word because it is truth! amen to that, so what I would propose is that Each persons from each mind set present evidence based upon the word of God and we all come together collectively guided by the Spirit of truth to see what thus saith the Lord, I only speak because I would like to learn and grow as a christian but when we all are not on one accord we cannot walk together

Honestly, You can be in one accord with Gods words, and chuck mans ideas. Because you see whats going on here.
