Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psa 30:5).
• “As the storm passes, so the wicked is no more; but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.” (Pro 10:25).
When we are amid a fight, our lean is to get despondent, despaired, in virtue of everything looking like unfeasible of being sorted out, such as it happened when a storm reached Paul and all the crew that was in the ship:
• “And neither sun nor stars appearing in many days, and no small tempest pressing hard, now all hope that we would be saved was taken away.” (Act 27:20).
Perhaps you are going through a terrible storm that appears to be inexorable; maybe this storm is so direful before men that it has a noun (in Paul’s case, Euroclydon – Acts 27:14). Nevertheless, the Creator says:
• “Do not say, A conspiracy! to everything of which this people says, A conspiracy! And do not fear their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify Jehovah of Hosts Himself, and let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.” (Isa 8:12,13).
After all:
• “The fear of Jehovah prolongs days; but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.” (Pro 10:27).
The problem in fearing other thing beyond the Creator is that this make us try to get justice by ourselves, what doesn’t bring Jesus’ justice (Rom 12:19-21; James 1:21).
Thus:
• “And finally, all be of one mind, having compassion on one another, loving the brothers, tenderhearted, friendly. Never give back evil for evil, or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, giving blessing, knowing that you are called to this so that you might inherit blessing. For he that wants to love life and to see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile. Let him turn aside from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears open to their prayers. But the Lord's face is against those who do evil.” (1Pe 3:8-12).
Although the wicked who are afflicting us will be judged very soon and will have their days shortened, if we get entangle by the evil, the Lord’s face will be against us too (after all, His justice is unbiased – Deut 10:17).
So, considering that the eyes of the Creator are on His Bride (who is the pupil of His eye – Deut 32:10), have a good day breaking your heart before Him (see Psalms 56:8; 34:18; 51:17; Isaiah 57:15; James 4:8-10), making your petitions known before Him (Phil 4:6) and biding and resting in His promises. At the right time you will reap with joy the fruits of Jesus’ justice in you (Psalms 126:5,6) – if you, of course, don’t turn back to the perdition (Gal 6:7-9; Hebrews 10:38,39).
