They REMAINED FINCHES..............they didn't EVOLVE, they ADAPTED to their environment to assure their survival!

There is a HUGE difference between "evolution from one species to another" and "created adaptation!" Where God created within EACH SPECIES the ability to adapt to their given environment to assure the survival of that species. Yes, species have died off........and this is shown in Scripture as well......

Doesn't sound like evolution in any sense. The scriptures also reveal that Adam was not a baby nor child but a full grown adult.
Now Cain and Abel the sons of Adam communicated verbally, one was a tiller of the ground, the other tended flocks. Both brought there gifts to the Lord. They worshipped. Show me any animal that does that. Your thoughts.

Part of the problem here is confusing evolution with adaptation. Evolution is changing from one thing to another. Adaptation is changing from one environment to another. Man did not evolve it adapted. Creatures did not evolve they adapted. If you take one species and move it to another environment it wont evolve over time it will adapt over time. The theory of evolution is not evolution but adaptation. When you look at the difference between a stone age man and a man of whatever age this is then you dont see an evolution you see an adaptation. Take a look at the difference between a 70 year old person and a 15 year old person with todays technology. Humans did not evolve to a new technology they adapted to a new technology. That 70 year old person can use todays technology, not because they evolved, but because they adapted. Evolution is nothing but a way of trying to explain human existance by taking God out of the picture. I may be wrong but i believe Darwin himself even said there was a huge gap in his evolution theory.

Adaptation is a key part of evolution. 95 % of evolutionary theory works with a Biblical understanding. So it always makes me wonder why so many Christians adamantly claim that evolutionary theory is false....it isn't...it explains adaptations and the formation of new "species" that are either biologically or socially unable to procreate fertile offspring.
It's similar to Newtonian physics....it can explain the basics but still have mistakes when applied in space or the upper atmosphere of Earth or under the ocean.
Pure science is not the enemy.
God made the earth and its natural laws and He wrote the Bible. They don't contradict one another.
What is at fault is man's understanding of God's natural laws and of the Bible.
The Biblical timeline most people believe and defend is based on Jewish texts (genalogies, timelines, etc.) outside the Bible itself. I am not fully convinced of the 6k years based solely on Biblical text.
Another problem is people's misunderstanding of evolutionary theory....it's like you see...so many straw man on both sides claiming the other believes something only a portion do.

That's fine I don't want to have an argument. I had the mistaken impression Christians brothers and sisters could have a discussion on a topic without resorting to being rude. Too often this forum has proven me wrong.

You are right. Pure/true science is not the enemy. The enemy are the ones who discredit the bible and claim that evolution is the only logical way of understanding how the world began.
You are right though, "God made the earth and its natural laws and He wrote the Bible. They don't contradict one another" Since God doesn't lie, the bible then is true. So if we look at the creation period... 6 days all creation, 7th day God rested. Then that would mean today there will be no "new species"... ever.

-----this verse seems like it's hinting evolution working, but that's just my opinion.
But when God created man, we got something different. And this is where people disagree. Does the person believe he comes after apes or after God? I guess, we are what we believe.
Truth is, it's a fallen world we live in, what people call "species" are going extinct one after another, not evolving.
It's sad, but the good news is, to us Christians, who are made after the image of God, are far from fallen through Christ. Everything will be recreated for the better.

Well this certainly escalated didn't it! One mention of the "E" word and it takes a turn for the worse. Sac is correct Macro-evolution is false, on the other hand Micro-evolution (adaptation) is evident worldwide.
