What are the signs of the Lord's return?

That didn't sound correct to me, that natural disasters are not increasing. So I googleediidleyoogled it because they keep records now on all that stuff. There's been a sharp increased in all manner of natural disasters. Hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes erupting, you name it, it's happening somewhere!

Not increasing. Research any natural event, like earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, floods, etc, and you will see that apart from natural variability none of it is increasing. We should all be used to and expecting this kind of song and dance now.

Also if you read the Bible, 1/4 of the world population dies during the seal judgements:

Revelation 6:7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

And then another 1/3 of the remaining world population will die during sixth trumpet judgement:

Revelation 9:13 The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God. 14 It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 The number of the mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number.

So with all that happening, I wouldn't be surprised if the antichrist would have some nerve to nuke another country that couldn't fight back and didn't have any allies to back them just to reduce the world population to make it more manageable.

Yeah perhaps you're right, they do like to sow fear. Jesus prolly isn't coming back either, right? He's been saying soon for over 2000 years. Just because God's word said all natural disasters will increase in number and frequency is wrong as you've shown!

You can choose to believe like that if you want to. Why should any Christian fear any of those things if and when they (continue) to happen anyway?

But, you can live with the view that everything is white picket fence still, business as usual. That's your choice.

When the Lord comes, He winds up restoring the earth to how it was in the Garden of Eden!

Phase 1 is Demolition. You can't do a remodel without demo being first! And it just so happens that the Lord has very useful tools in the weather and natural earth. I bet He could make a worldwide earthquake all at once if He wanted to.

I remember hear some Pastor recount right after the earthquake and tsunami wiped out japan they went there ad Christian Missionaries to help and were walking and all there was was rubble everywhere. And they walked up the beach a ways and then they saw a house that was standing! It had destruction on both sides of it and this house had no no visible damage whatsoever. That was odd enough that they went to door and knocked. Sorry to bother you but how is it that your house stands amidst such destruction all around you?

And the man said, It was the Lord. We're Christians...

I do believe that the Lord is coming back and if we are here at that time and we truly believe and study His word we will know when that time is. Mark 13:23 But take heed for I have foretold you all things. That includes the timing of His return to the Mt. of Olives splitting that mountain in two making a valley where He will set His Millennial Kingdom. You can read it in the great book of the unavailing, Revelation 11 and their dead bodies shall lay in the street for 3 and 1/2 days and then shall Jesus' return.

  • Gospel to all nations
  • Falling away / apostasy
  • Restrainer removed
  • Man of lawlessness revealed
  • Rise of first and second beast
  • Times of the Gentiles fulfilled
  • Israel faces judgment and deliverance
  • Great tribulation
  • Cosmic signs (moon like blood, sea roaring, heavens shaken)
  • Then and only then Christ returns in glory.

These events must happen first and therefore His return is not imminent.
