Natural disasters are not intensifying. Technologies have developed that allow for detection of events that went unnoticed in the past. Also assessing natural vents in terms of billion-dollar damage is a ridiculous metric because there are so many more things to damage now and stuff is much more cheaply made than it used to be. So of course damage in terms of dollars will go up. But if you look at the scientific data, natural events are not increasing in number or strength.
That didn't sound correct to me, that natural disasters are not increasing. So I googleediidleyoogled it because they keep records now on all that stuff. There's been a sharp increased in all manner of natural disasters. Hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes erupting, you name it, it's happening somewhere!
