Can we buy back the tithes.
Please list the Scriptures you found your answers for this and the question about Noah
Genesis 6th chapter for Noah as replied to your other thread.
Tithes are no longer a religious requirement but a cheerful heart of giving is the only basis for giving. God wants a personal relationship with us... not a religious one to be seen of men.
Matthew 6:1Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. 2Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 3But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Below is the guideline in how the church or the assembly were to look at in how they receive the giving.
2 Corinthians 9: 6But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
God will provide sufficiently for the ministry as they are not to look to the assembly to provide. That means no pledges nor tithings. God is able to raise up cheerful givers, thus those that give are not to give grudgingly or of necessity, but whatever he or she purposes in his or her heart to give as it is between them and God.. and to give secretly.. as in nobody's business but their own.
It is from the bounty collected that the Lord provided that the church are instructed to set aside a portion for the ministry of the saints as was agreed upon and the assembly were zealously known for wanting to do in the days of Paul.
Nowadays, people give for tax deductions. It is known by men and recorded by the church. It is not a sin, but they have already received their rewards as Jesus has spoken. Jesus was speaking of a better way to give... as well as a better way to pray... to enjoy that personal relationship with the Lord.
