What are we doing in regard to our mental, sentimental and spiritual poorness?
Look on these verses about the poverty:
• Pro 19:4 -> “Wealth brings many new friends, but a poor man is deserted by his friend.”.
• Pro 10:15 -> “A rich man's wealth is his strong city; the poverty of the poor is their ruin.”.
• Pro 19:6,7 -> “Many seek the favor of a generous man, and everyone is a friend to a man who gives gifts. All a poor man's brothers hate him; how much more do his friends go far from him! He pursues them with words, but does not have them.”.
• Pro 14:20 -> “The poor is disliked even by his neighbor, but the rich has many friends.”.
As you can see, people are very mean in relation to those who don’t have anything to offer. It isn’t in vain that Jesus said to the brethren of Laodicea:
• Rev 3:18 -> “I counsel you to buy from Me gold purified by fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be clothed, and so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see.”.
And didn’t say the same that they said:
• Rev 3:17 -> “Because you say, I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,”.
As Paul said:
• Rom 12:3 -> “For I say, through the grace given to me, to every one who is among you, *not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think*. But set your mind to be right-minded, even as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.”.
The truth is that nobody is sufficiently wise, good and full of the Holy Spirit so that they don’t need to improve in their soul and spirit. As Paul said:
• 1Co 10:12 -> “So let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”.
“Who thinks”. This doesn’t mean that they are stood. Perhaps they are fallen and the worst: thinking that it is the others who are fallen.
Besides, everyone needs to improve in something. The life implies in ameliorating day after day. In the day that we think that we are good and accommodate to this state, we die. We lose the capacity of dreaming, of seeing ways to improve where we are living. The life lose its bright and our utility goes losing by and by.
So, have a good day, always filling yourself with the novelty of the Holy Spirit (Rom 7:6) and living in novelty of life (Rom 6:4).
