What are we taking on us?
As you can see, the fools take shame on themselves. Nonetheless, who have the wisdom of Jesus inherit His glory. That is to say, while the wicked need to labor, to gather and to heap up, the just inherit all they really need from Jesus (Ecclesiastes 2.26).
So, let’s follow the advice of Solomon:
Why are we so antsy and hectic about the delights of the world? See the terrible consequences of it:
The only effort that is worth doing is to stay chilled out in the presence of the Creator (see Luke 10.40-42):
As we enjoy His presence with pleasure resting and biding in Him (Psalms 37.4,7), our soul and spirit is being dug very deeply by Jesus (Phil 2.12,13) so that the foundation of the apostles can be put inside us without any chance of being shaken.
So, don’t wear out in vain! Be elated in Jesus hearing His sweet voice and take ken of the things which the Creator has prepared for those who love Him, namely, that which eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man" (1Corintians 2.9).
- “The wise shall inherit glory; but shame shall be the promotion of fools.” (Proverbs 3.35).
