What are we treasuring for us: wrath or goodness?
• “or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads thee to repentance? but, according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up to thyself wrath, in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,” (Rom 2:4,5).
When the day of wrath comes (the second coming of Christ), we will receive of the Creator what we treasured. If we persist on holding a grudge against who spite us, it is this what we will reap when Jesus comes. And, at this moment:
• “Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.” (Proverbs 11:4).
The only way to get freedom at this day, is keeping, in our heart, Jesus, His righteousness and the Word of His *patience* :
• “and to await his Son from the heavens, whom he raised from among the dead, Jesus, our deliverer from the coming wrath.” (1Th 1:10).
• “Because you have *kept the Word of My patience*, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation which will come upon all the habitable world, to try those who dwell upon the earth.” (Rev 3:10).
How are we coping with people who fail with us? In what of these four hypotheses are we?
1. Are we seeking in Christ that they can be saved of what they turned into in virtue of the sin?
2. Are we seeking in the Lamb of God (the one who takes away the sin of the world – John 1:29) that He gets angry at them and brings harm about them?
3. Are we seeking, in the “justice” of this world, the evil against our oppressors?
4. Or are we planning on doing the harm with our own hands?
Many times we are like people of Israel:
• “For they have brought their heart near like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their baker sleeps at night; in the morning it burns like a flaming fire.” (Hos 7:6).
If this is the case, behold the sentence that hover on us:
• “Woe to those who plot wickedness and prepare evil on their beds! When the morning is light they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.” (Micah 2:1).
So, it doesn’t mind if people is fair with us or not, experiment a good week treasuring, in your heart, Truth, Peace, joy, love, goodness, mercy, grace. Even if people aren’t worth of it, you are.
