I love very much the man who sings contralto's part...
Tallest dude with the most high pitched voice, what's there not to like? ;)

Jk, jk... this was actually beautifully performed. You made me look into my cd collection again and look up Brahms' motets. I always feel that Brahms in his vocal works combines the atmosphere of Bach with the romanticism of his era. Here's one of my favorites with an english translation of the lyrics (passages from scripture and a Luther Chorale). I heard it first in one of the old churches in the city where I studied. It made quite an impact then, and it still does.

[English]

Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery,
and life unto the bitter in soul;
which long for death but it cometh not;
and dig for it more than for hid treasures;
which rejoice exceedingly and are glad,
when they can find the grave?
Why is light given to a man whose way is hid,
and whom God hath hedged in?

Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.

Behold, we count them happy which endure.
Ye have heard of the patience of Job,
and have seen the end of the Lord;
that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

In peace and joy I now depart,
According to God's will,
Comforted are my soul and heart,
Calm and still.
As God has promised me,
Death has become a sleep to me.

...and now I see the change
I’ll never be the same
I see the way You love
and it consumes me

Love songs and lullabies, by Jim Brickman... great cd to listen to before sleep...

Just some music by an old wig head, as usual.
I have no idea what the lady is singing, but it's beautiful.
