Jesus promised:
So, if we quest for adultery, we will find what it is, that is to say, pain (this hurts the heart of the betrayed spouse) and disgrace (absence of grace). After all, those who adulteries are desecrating the alliance of the Creator (Mal 2.15) and, with this, repealing the grace that Jesus pour down to their homes (see 1Peter 3.7).
The shame of those who adultery never shall be wiped away. I know that this sounds antic, inasmuch as there are many people that make out with married person and, apparently, they get away from the nemesis.
Nonetheless, this blemish and shame will accompany the adulterers wherever they go. It will be more difficult to establish stalwart relationships and, of course, be used by Jesus to manifest the meaning of His life, namely: forgiveness, total commitment with the Creator in order to save and purify a flimsy Bride that is fraught of wrinkles, smudges, etc.
So, have a magnificent day being grateful, faithful and loyal to Christ beside the person that Jesus made specially for you (even though, many times, it looks difficult to be gregarious with the spouse).
- “Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; he who does it destroys his own soul. He shall get a wound and dishonor; and his shame shall not be wiped away.” (Proverbs 6.32,33).
