my day started off on the wrong foot. in fact, i will expound on that in a forthcoming post. : )

in an effort to derail that train, i started listing all the things i was grateful for this morning.

perhaps we could all use an opportunity to focus on the many wonderful things we've been given, been revealed to us, and blessed with.

so, right now, what are you grateful for?

p.s. i'm even going to give y'all a head start. : )

I saw this earlier and didn't feel like posting because I wasn't in a very cheerful mood but now I can say with a glad heart that I am very thankful to God for my newfound friends here in CC (and for my old friends here too). :D You guys are a lifesaver!

I'm grateful for having supporting parents and a roof to live under. :)

I am thankful for my 2 beautiful children and my husband, I'm also thankful for a roof over my head and heat.

+ my ability to work in a field that i love, and the freedom to work flexible hours

+ my family and beautiful nieces and nephews

+ God's mercy and patience with me

+ my body - being healed from injury and the ability i have to go hiking and running today

+ the freedoms i enjoy living in this country

+ an abundance of what so many others go without. food that wastes in the fridge, clean water on tap, and far more than what i need

+the joy in my heart, and the certainty of my future

+the work God is bringing about in my life

+the lovely people that i've gotten to know here on cc

I'm grateful for a lot of things but to be specific, I went into work the night before last and it was snowing when I got there. I got off work about 5 in the morning and my ride home called me to tell me they couldn't make it because the roads were too bad. It was freezing cold out, I had a very light jacket and a t-shirt on. I prayed and asked God to provide a ride.....some may think that was a stupid prayer but it worked great. I asked a guy to give me a ride to a gas station that got me about 30 minutes closer to my house in walking time (Walking wise, it's 4-5 hours from work to my house). Decided to ask one or two people at the gas station before I started hoofing it from there. First guy I asked, going right by my house told me to hop in. Very nice guy.

Woot, lol. I ended up getting home quicker than I would have had my planned ride home been able to come and get me. It was freeeeezing outside with strong wind/snow too. Way worse than the last time I got stranded and had to walk.

Edit: Oh ya, I had also stepped in a mud puddle right before work so I had a soaked foot and I worked with it like that all night. My toes would have been popsicles by the time I got home. That could have been hoooooorrible

I am thankful for all my friends on cc. You guys mean much more to me than you know.

I am thankful for a great bunch of people at my church. So many willing to chip in, it's fantastic.

At least it wasn't cat pee...again :)

I'm thankful for my wonderful friends both on and off of CC. I'm thankful my self conscious little sister found a wedding dress she feels beautiful in. I'm thankful for my 2 days a week off work.

I'm thankful God is always God. Don't know how many times in life it turns out something isn't what I thought it was... God on the other hand is always God. It's nice.
I'm thankful for secret humble prayers. Those people sneakily praying for me without my knowledge. God bless them.
I'm thankful for my shameful secret.... my moped. It sounds like a hedge trimmer and everyone hates it, but when I ride it I smile inside :)

There's not enough room to post all the things I'm grateful for, so I'll narrow it down.

Salvation.

The Sabbath. Every single week, I am refreshed and renewed. HalleluYah. :)

The truth, and my understanding of that truth. He didn't have to choose me, but he did.

My husband, who also didn't have to choose me.

My not-so-little-anymore family (especially my grandbabies.)

Shalom. :)

Every day is the day the Lord has made. We should rejoice and be glad.
