I think I have changed my view on eternal torture. It's what we in the West have mostly grown up on. It's what we learned since we were young. But after paying more attention to the Scripture and what it truly says, I think I am officially leaning more towards annihilation.

The eternal judgment of the dead is just that--eternal. Eternal torture, no, but the eternal strike of God's gavel. Just like the judgment of a condemned death row inmate remains after they are long dead (you can view the judgment and death certificate) and remains so for eternaity, so it will be with the annihilated unsaved. They will be no more, but the judgment and their death remains forever the outcome of their unbelief and sin.
