Philippians 4:6-7 where Paul talks about a "peace that surpasses all understanding." With everything going
on in the news, culture, and our busy daily schedules, it can feel incredibly hard to step away and tap into that promise.

Instead of a deep theological study or debate on strict doctrines, I really just wanted to see how this verse lands in your everyday lives.

What are your thoughts when you try to quiet your heart during a frantic week?
How do you personally find that quiet moment with God?
Is there a specific routine, a quiet prayer, or maybe a favorite Christian song that helps you reset?
If you're currently in a noisy, stressful season and struggling to find it—how can we pray for you?

There are no right or wrong answers here.

'Though being retired, daily challenges do arise. We are retired but a daughter and grandson
live with us and they are in the working atmosphere and do bring up issues they encounter.
Sharing our thoughts and opinions don't always make sense to them, it's a different world today.
Loving one another and helping out one another I believe helps to maintain peace.

'For me, I make it a point each day for my quiet time with God.
I have no set routine, being retired, thankfully I am not on a "schedule".
I thank God our family here are close and not caught up in a lot of drama as surely there
are many distraught families from the news media exposure.

'I can only hope and pray families can learn to come to peace with one another. Obviously God

is vacant in many family structures. Praying for those struggling never goes out of style.
Hopefully the heart "speaks" without 'sermons".

'Bless those that come by here.

Many of us can find it difficult to find time to focus on God. I think the more we commune with Him the more we're likely to experience that peace that surpasses all understanding. While I am mostly distracted by life, I frequently experience that peace while praying. When I was a young man doing Missionary work it sustained me.

Saw this question posted on a download.png page from someone who said they were writing a book.
A profound question that surely will receive mixed comments. I will share my thoughts.

So how can a Christian know for sure that they are saved with only their own interpretation of scripture when we see that our own interpretation can be in error? Why doesn't God give feedback?

How would you answer those questions without using the rejected arguments of "inner voice" or "scripture says"?

I feel I am not obligated to prove if I believe I am saved, this is on me, and I am comfortable with just living the best I know how as my personal spiritual experience has given me the hope and peace that I am where I need to be with my connection and/or relationship with God.

I don't expect to audibly "hear" a voice from God. In my quiet times I honestly try to have an "inventory" or look into my actions or behavior and obviously I may not do well in some situations, but I try to amend some of my flaws to be a better me.

And as stated before, I firmly believe my basic necessary endeavor is to honestly and seriously strive to live by the "fruits" as I believe in doing so, all things meant to be, will be done and come about, and I have no need to fear and/or be concerned as the future is not mine to know. Striving to function here in the now, each day is all I am capable of, no more, no less.

I leave it with that.
