What can thrust the person into murkiness?
1 – Maledicting the parents:
• Pro 20:20 -> “If one curses his father or his mother, his lamp will be put out in utter darkness.”.
2 – Don’t get dressed with Jesus’ righteousness (Rev 18:8):
• Mat 22:13 -> “Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “.
3 – Killing someone’s dear in order to get their preference; enticing people so that they can depart from Jesus in order to get some advantage (as in Hosea 4:8); trying to take over people’s attention destroying those who the Creator put on them:
• Jud 1:11-13 -> “Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error and perished in Korah's rebellion. These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.”.
4 – Trying to get the unction of the Holy Spirit worshipping the Creator through things that Jesus never mentioned:
• Mat 25:8 -> “And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ “.
5 – Staying (and obviously, getting delight) in wickedness:
• Pro 13:9 -> “The light of the righteous rejoices, but the lamp of the wicked will be put out.”.
• Pro 24:20 -> “for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out.”.
• Job 18:5,18 -> “Indeed, the light of the wicked is put out, and the flame of his fire does not shine. He is thrust from light into darkness, and driven out of the world.”.
So, have a good day filling your spirit with the Word, Testimony, Justice and works of Jesus. After all:
Pro 20:27 -> “The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, searching all his innermost parts.”.
Once the eyes is the lamp of the body (Mat 6:22,23), therefore if our spirit stays being used by the Holy Spirit, we will be light wherever we go (Mat 5:14-16).
