John 6:35
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth in me shall never thirst.

Created us, sanctified and made the 7th day holy for us to be blessed, let us keep existing even after the forbidden fruit was eaten, flooded the earth to get rid of all wickedness, and on and on, that is just a few things in first book of bible. these are a few things Christ Jesus has done for us.

I must say and admit that there are many things of God I still do not understand, but be sure my brother that I worship one true God. And yes, the Holy Spirit is God and He is a person. The Bible says God is a spirit, not a person.... John 4.24
The Bible says Jesus Christ was the word made Flesh and was a person John 1.14
The Bible says the Holy Spirit will testify of Jesus, but is not Jesus...John 15.26
You should read and reread the entire Gospel of John....
"God demonstrates, his love for us in this, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Jesus did only ONE thing..... He came to set the BAR! Jesus came to show us what God makes us into. If we are not to His equel and likeness, then God did NOTHING!

I tried so many times to show you people that Jesus was and is OUR Godly figure to SHOW us whar God makes of us! God makes us JESUS! Not only Jesus but even MORE than Jesus..... Jesus had no JESUS that urged the Father to do even more than what he did as Jesus, Son of God!
So many people say.... I believe in Jesus, and Jesus says... He that believeth on me.... GREATER works shall he do, BECAUSE I GO TO MY FATHER.... And then we use the excuse of our pityful state that it was only meant for the first church... BLA BLA BLA.. and we talk more nonsence!
I stand ashamed before God, with my whole heart yearning for HIS WAY out! Maybe the only thing God did for me thus far, was to show me how far I fall short. So do I believe in Jesus? Oh how can I? If it is about Him, what did He do for me? NOTHING!
If He did do ANYTHING for me, I would not be me, I would be HIS LIKENESS! If I am not His likeness, I am NOTHING OF GOD!
So let us make it all about Jesus. If I am all about Jesus, I wuold be to HIS MEASURE and Fulness. And if I am not, I am NOT ALL ABOUT JESUS.... who is the EVIL in me? Also Jesus? IF I am all about Jesus and in Him is no EVIL, then there should not be EVIL in me. If there are, God did NOT SUCCEED! Or did he even start?
I went to the desert and was lead into hell, Jesus has no place in hell, and the people in hell has no place wth Jesus! Jesus came not to bring peace to the earth, but the SWORD that SEPERATES. And the seperation is as clear as DAY and NIGHT.
So all the Jesus-alike people, tell us how we can be saved PLEASE! Show us Jesus, do not preach Jesus with your lips, and live satan with the rest of your body... There are millions of those around,,,, Also seperated from Jesus.

I am not picking a fight, I am just really interested in your take on this, so please keep that in mind, when I ask you things below.
The Bible teaches us to be partakers of the divine nature, renew our minds to have the mind of Jesus, that we are to be conformed into the image of the son? The Bible teaches us that we are more than forgiven for sins, we have dominion, authority and power, that we are God's Righteousness in Christ.
What part of what Cobus posted is blasphemy to you? How do you suggest that becoming like Jesus is getting father and farther from the Gospel?
We will never be divine as Jesus was, but we can be partakers of his divine nature...The Bible tells us that clearly and in black and white and Jesus says so in red.
The Gospel is the totality of a man named JESUS CHRIST!

Zonie the day you understand Jesus as the Son of God and Jesus as the Son of man, Jesus as God and Jesus as man, then you will undestand. Until then you will remain confused and lost. Let me give you a GOOD lesson in Jesus as the Man of God that walked with us on this earth.

I agree with you Zone, their getting pretty close to calling themselves gods,
maybe not, but close?
Paul wrote over 100 times, in Christ; in Him; in Whom...in Christ Jesus; in Jesus.
meaning if we are found in Christ, we are made perfect, because He was made perfect.
Hebrews says He was made perfect in what He suffered and His humility....
and Jesus in the gospels said....go tell that O fox, in 3 days I will be made perfect....
The Scripture never says that we can be made into Jesus' likeness before His resurrection.
Any way you slice it, it simply means we don't need Jesus.
Adam was made in the Image of God, and this is not what Christ is restoring us to;
Adam was a living soul; the 2nd Adam a life giving Spirit.
our flesh and soul in it's perfect state still hates God, just like Adam.
we renew our minds daily.....we are to put on the mind of Christ daily...

So you and zone should tell us all how Jesus did what he did, before he laid himself down and rose again....
You seem to be placing Jesus on the pedestal of perfection, that we can never attain, because he had a divine nature we cannot ever have. My bible says something completely different.
There were more than 12 disciples that he gave the very same power & authority he had, and they even exercised that power and authority before he died and rose again. It was even before Acts and the day of Pentecost and it is documented in the Gospel of Luke . So how can you so boldly claim something the Bible completely refutes you on?
I am nothing without Jesus and I also have his power and authority and can use his name....I will never be divine or perfect, but I do believe that I can be a partaker of the divine nature. I also believe on some sin, that I can be in all points tempted, but not SIN! We are more than just forgiven people!
If Jesus is the only one that had some sort of super secret divine power that a believer today cannot possess, then it makes Jesus and the entire a Bible a lie!
Jesus did not just come to set the bar, he showed us how we are to live on earth and that it is attainable, we will never be perfect, he is the only one that is perfect, but he did not do the things he did, merely because of his divine nature...and those that suggest this and hold fast to this belief are believing a lie straight from hell.
Jesus did what he did because he was anointed by God with Holy ghost and with power. Jesus later gave this same anointing to the original 12 disciples and 70 others and he gave them this before his death and resurrection and before the day of Pentecost!

God makes us JESUS! Not only Jesus but even MORE than Jesus - is a fairly mild statement of faith coming from Cobus (love you Cobus, but that's not Biblical...being born from above doesn't mean you become god, okay?)
