They don't work in the way you want them to, but they do work. If you are hoping that you will get an honest account of the candidates stance on a variety of issues, then no, they don't work. If you are hoping that these thorny issues will be debated and when it is over you will see the light as the correct path to take, then no, they don't work.
But if you are hoping for two hours of material that your campaign can then cut up into pieces and use for their campaign ads, then they do work. That is the purpose.
They know that of the 150 million Americans who will vote in the election only about 10% actually watch the debate from start to finish and for the most part those are the ones who have already made up their minds. What they are hoping to get is material they can use in campaign ads to influence undecided voters in swing states.

No the Pharisees had to change the year because after Jesus' crucifixion many of the Jews began to wake up and realize according to the prophecies that Jesus was the Messiah, so they wanted them to feel they were still a few hundred years away. That is also why the rabbis avoid Isaiah 53, it is too obvious that it talks about Jesus.The Hebrew calendar is "off" by as much as 256 years.

However, that said, Jesus is Lord and I do believe that the number of the year is 5785 is the Lord's sovereignty because the gematria of 5785 does speak a lot as to what is to take place.
Right. So they chopped out a couple hundred years (perhaps as many as 256 years, as the article states), so the ACTUAL year is NOT [now] "5785" but [as much as] 256 years LATER than that (or whatever). IOW, the Hebrew calendar is incorrect when it states that this is year 5785.
How can you be saying that the Hebrew calendar is both "changed" from what it SHOULD be, and at the same time also be "correct"?
That doesn't make sense to me. lol
Didn't say that. I said that they have removed a few hundred years so it is not correct, but that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Numbers can be equated to words. So although they have changed the dates, the Lord can still speak through that to us.
Yours is a lost cause because no matter which passages we quote from the
Old Testament, nor the quantity, Muhammad's faithful followers will
maintain the NT has manipulated the OT.
BTW: The Koran teaches Muslims that Jesus did not die on the cross.
