What do you do to have your will satisfied?
• Pro 18:23 -> “The poor use entreaties, but the rich answer roughly.”.
The poor use entreaties because they have needs and can’t oblige people around them to do what they wish. So, the alternative that they have is to try to lure people in order to convince them to do their will.
The rich, as they have political, judicial and police support, they pass over the desires and needs of people around them. They compel people to do what they long for, whether they can do it or not.
Both attitudes are wrong. First of all, we need to seek Jesus’ gift. After all:
• Jas 1:17 -> “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”.
Only Jesus is good (Mat 19:17; Mark 10:18; Luke 18:19) and knows exactly what we need. So, instead of trying to get through someone (including Jesus), let Him convince you of His plans and desires for you. Especially because:
• Jer 29:11 -> “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”.
So have a good day getting pleasure in Jesus’ company and accepting of good mind His calling and purport for you (Ps 37:4; Rom 8:28).
