What do you say to those trying to justify sin by making the blanket statement that men had to have changed the bible over time?-)

The reason God had his word preserved for us, was so we would have an authorative teaching to keep us knowing his will.

But we cannot ignore the fact that the church by and large is not interested in God's will. They have more faith in denominational will.

My church reads an old testament passage, psalms, an epistle passage, and a gospel passage every week. All related passages ( I mean a whole passage not a coue of verses) and the pastor peaches about those passages for about 30 minutes. So of the 2 hours of church only 30 minutes is pastor preaching about what we had read for about an hour. Most of the songs we sing are psalms.
