What do you say to those trying to justify sin by making the blanket statement that men had to have changed the bible over time?-)

I agree, but you will have to go a long way to find a church which does that.

My church reads an old testament passage, psalms, an epistle passage, and a gospel passage every week. All related passages ( I mean a whole passage not a coue of verses) and the pastor peaches about those passages for about 30 minutes. So of the 2 hours of church only 30 minutes is pastor preaching about what we had read for about an hour. Most of the songs we sing are psalms.
