Why would you say the law is abolished when Christ says it isn't? Luk_16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Christ speaks often about the law, and the law of Moses, but not once does Christ say it is abolished.

It is in a way: For the born again are not law breakers, the ones that have come to full term in belief and only trust God and no other, are no longer Law Breakers, So still in place for the Law Breakers, not yet seein gthe born of God full story, state here now, where one walks by Faith in the finished work of Christ and hear his voice and do as asked by Father, without controversy
God just love you, the deeper one sees this the deeper one loves, can't help it, It just is what it is
Love you as you know Sister

The born again, need no Laws, for the born again are not Law breakers any more living in Spirit and truth.
The Laws are still needed though. Not for those in Christ for those not in Christ.

Please be sure about what you say when you say it brother because we may build straw or hay upon the foundation the apostles laid..
.Galatians 6:2
King James Version
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
John 15:12
King James Version
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
1 John 3:23
King James Version
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

...............annnnnnnnnnnndddddddddddd THEIR OFF!............. (here we go again..........sigh........)

I got told, that my Dad was an alcoholic, I responded with I will then just love him, get it you all, what God did by Son

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

Have you recieved the new life in the resurrected Christ yet? From, Father the free gift, maybe ask and beleive without any other motive but to know Father in reality here and now
Saved by the life not the death, yet death was needed first to redeem us all first to give new life here and now in the resurrected Christ

Salvation by grace means we are granted righteousness/holiness without meeting the requirements of the law of Moses. The law has been fulfilled(paid) and abolished through the death of christ.

Repentance means we no longer look to the Law of Moses to define God's kind of righteousness. It means we now have infinite liberty to live our lives without regard to the definitions and requirements(restrictions) of the law. To live our lives embracing our full natural(God given/designed) attributes and quests, whether they be quest for food, drink, art, science/knowledge, sex, music, etc. These things that the law itself prohibited us by it's demands for abstinence. All things and all knowledge in nature are now permissible to use, just as God designed them in the beginning, before the fall of Adam.

Your teaching on repentance is wrong and you cannot support it with scripture... to repent means to have a change of heart ,to turn away from sin to righteousness
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Why would you say the law is abolished when Christ says it isn't? Luk_16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Christ speaks often about the law, and the law of Moses, but not once does Christ say it is abolished.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

"For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous." Rom. 2:13

And only one can by God's power in the Holy Spirit given us, born again.human kind can't

Receiving God's grace is conditional upon repentance. Grace will not saved an impenitent person. So 'grace alone' does not save.

First one is convicted by The Holy Spirit and tells the truth, that God in Christ reconciled all the world unto himself, not counting anyone's sin again them, at the cross
So how good is this news? How much more does any of us think we will be saved by his life, the resurrected one in Spirit and truth
Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Of course the law will not fail until it is fulfilled. That is the principle of covenants/contracts. Until a debt(the law) is paid, the customer/benefactor of such debt will continue to be bound by the terms and conditions of it. But we know that jesus came to fulfill the law, and if he succeeded in fulfilling(paying the debt) it, then we have been released from such debt with the terms and conditions thereof.

Jesus himself gave a hint of this principle but people just fail to see it:

17“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. 18“For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished -(Matthew 5:17-18)

In the born again believer the Law is fulfilled, in Christ, and not for the Law breakers,
So are you a law breaker or born again, from God in the resurrected Christ?
Either one is or is not, that simple and we serve the law of God with our Spirit not flesh, Romans 7

"Why do we have to repent" to be saved?
One unilateral sin remains outstanding after Jesus crucifixion. Only those who have the faith to resolve this sin are saved.

Yes you are getting, have you asked for God to resolve or are you still busy trying to mix you solving it with God, when God said it is finished, John 19:30. what is finished?

"grace alone by faith alone" is not the concept of salvation that is consistent with what all of the apostles taught. That quote is an ecclesiastical assumption that is entirely false.

So then why did Christ go to the cross then, did you or I or anyone have anything beside being in evil flesh have to do with it?
Do you agree Christ is perfect and walked the Law and Prophets accordingly to their saying Christ was coming to redeem us, mand the disciples reported we are reconciled to father by Christ?

I am pretty sure this "grace alone by faith " is not found anywhere in the scriptures...but if you find it let me know.

Romans 1:5 by whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Romans 5:2 by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

Grace and Faith go hand in hand, Just like a glove fits the hand. The two go together

It does not answer the question why do we have to repent to access it.
When we go to Christ we are given the Holy Spirit. At the time we accept Christ, we are cleansed of sin and the Holy Spirit resides in us. God cannot live with sin, we are cleansed of sin through grace.

If we do not turn from sin, if we accept sin as part of our being like making our being a thief, or a drunkard, etc., then we choose that instead of choosing Christ. We are cleansed of all sin, even though knowledge of sin is part of us and if we say we are sinless we are a liar, so we do the very best we can to live without sin. It is impossible, but our trying is not impossible. At the very same time, without faith in all of God and His word, including words about how to live in His light, or if we keep within us grudges against others with no forgiveness, we cannot have grace. If we won't forgive others, we can't have that for ourselves. If we don't believe God, we can't have grace.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Do you think this scripture is telling us that Christ ended all God told us about the world operating through law? Was that the mission of Christ, to put an end to what His Father said? Christ said it wasn't his mission at all, His mission was to save us even when we sin.

how is it meant to you, or anyone, I know God teaches one to say no to unrighteousness through the finished work of Son, too simple to ju7st walk by Grace (Faith) for our unredeemed flesh,
So if one walks in sin and harms their neighbor purposely is not even begun the born again process of God to grow them into maturity
Now if one does want to obey and be a doer of the Law of Love, this can only be done by imputation of the Holy Spirit, and one walks as Christ walked in love to all as in 1 Cor. 13:4-13
Read it do you pass in your unredeemed flesh? Does anyone? Yeah, and now see we are to be =born again in Spirti and truth, asking God to grow us up and learn truth from error
For the truth sets one free and error puts one in bondage correct?
So if I , you or anyone here right now in bondage, then the truth has not set one free has it?
And just maybe then one need to rethink their truth, that they have latched onto, that has and is keeping them in bondage\
You think or no way, I have a closed mind, God did not come to earth to redeem us and set us free in the new life in Spirit and truth did he?
2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

The above verse is By trust this is done still to this day. God performinmg as he did through Son you all, maybe time to wake up and smell the roses

If one does not turn from sin, knowing they need the savior and can't be perfect, ask and plead to God for God's Mercy given for all to receive if they believe, and Father begin the perfect work of Christ the son in them, and by this Fai8th non stop, get carried onto maturity in Christ, and enter Father's courts with thanksgiving and praise, having nothing to do with getting there except from Belief in God and having no doubts.
Luke 7:50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

Sister are you at peace yet? Just asking for their is nothing mankind can do to achieve what Christ has achieved is there?

So now go in peace.

So then how much more will you be saved right now by his resurrected life. He is alive you know, I know you know.
So when are you going to ask Father for Son to live through you in Spirit and truth? And I think you have, just need to get you to see it.
And no one can see this with out first willing to see them self dead to themselves

Brother, people were already on those "quests" long before the 10 commandments. Why do you think God wrote them in the first place?

This isn't the childhood game "red light, green light."

What does "grace alone by faith" mean? Why do we have to repent if we are saved by grace? Or is grace referred to as God giving is Jesus?

Hello Danielle,

Grace is the unmerited favour of God, and faith is just believing that what God says, He will surely do. How do we get faith? Simply by hearing, or reading, what God has said. Where do we read what God has said? In the Bible, which is His Word, (John's gospel is a good place to start).

For it is the good news of God concerning His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, by which we are saved - by believing what God has said concerning Him.

With love to you
In Christ Jesus
Chris :)

Sure am glad we have the sabbath keepers to explain what Paul was trying to say. I wish God had picked better people to bring us His word. And I wish the Holy Ghost had told Paul to clarify what he was saying before it hit print.

Salvation through Christ is not accomplished by obeying law, it is only accomplished through grace. That is done when we acknowledge God, and we go to God to lead us. So we go to Christ for cleansing, to be accepted because we have faith in God, and Christ is God.

Now that is over and done.

We are loved by the Lord, we are His child, we are part of the family of the Lord. God wants the best for His children, and the law leads the child to the best, to abundance for him. God wants that child to be part of Him, and God cannot be part of sin, so God leads his family away from sin. If the child gives his whole self over to sin, then God cannot live within that child any longer for God cannot live with sin. Christ tells us that the more we walk with Him in the kingdom, the greater we are in His kingdom.

Salvation is apart from this, salvation is through faith.
