All truth is God's Word (John 1:14), and God's Spirit is Truth (1John 5:6), but the focus of Scripture is on the Gospel truth
or GRFS as in Acts 16:30-31.

In spirit is referring to our spirit. We worship out of the the depth of our hearts and souls. Worship in our spirit is the raising of our highest affections for God.
Worshipping in truth means we follow God's prescribed manner of worship. God has made known what worship should consist in. Not to do so can incur the anger of God.

What are his standards for worship?

The Spirit of God is most perfectly revealed and expressed in the way Jesus shed His own blood for His enemies. No greater love has a man than this: to lay down his life for his friends. But God lays down His life for His enemies.

So, worshipping in Spirit is communing with God by receiving and expressing His love.

The Holy Spirit is truth. Worshipping in truth is communing with God without pretence. It is to love people sincerely, because we see people as God sees them and deal with them as God deals with them. It is not just making an insincere outward show of concern.

So, to worship God in spirit and in truth is to commune with God by dwelling in and manifesting His sincere sacrificial love toward all, including our enemies.

That sounds about right and it is scriptural too. communion with God is vital and being in his love is just as vital so when one is worhipping not to just sing along but to sing to him with affection and love for him this is what I feel it is to worship in spirit and truth

Well the scriptures speak of worshipping in spirit and truth, the spirit part I get but truth? what is worshipping in truth exactly?
Worshipping in truth means including in worship what God says to include, and not including things He has not included.
A liturgical order of worship can be found in several places, one being Isaiah 6. Here we find Isaiah entering the throne room of God and witnessing the worship of God as He is high and lifted up. Some have suggested that the angels crying one to another...holy, holy, holy...is an angelic chorus. So many begin worship with a call to worship from scripture and then sing a hymn praising God for His works and His excellencies, followed by a prayer of invocation.
Next we find that Isaiah being in the very real presence of God becomes burdened by his utter impurity. So he confesses his sinfulness. Thus many worship services will follow their call to worship with a call to confession.
Next God in having the coal placed on Isaiah's lips assures Isaiah that he is forgiven. Hence, there may be a prayer prayed concerning this assurance that God affords his people and perhaps a hymn sung expressing this reality.
Lastly, God commissions Isaiah to a life of service. This is generally when the sermon is given and hearers are taught and then exhorted to live well their Christian life in service to God.
This is a basic outline. There is much more that can be said. But there is enough here to see that God has given a model for worship.

To me, I need God, I am nothing, God Father and Son as Won, are the everything to me. This flesh body I am in, I reckon as dead as in Romans 6 tells me. For since it is not yet redeemed, it can be reckoned dead daily by anyone in belief to Father and Son as Won.
Practice daily death to the first born self person. Then that might and will become a habit, then the Habit will become a characteristic, then you will be new in the trait God has given us to be in. To me never denying God ever over antything. Like being a Job in the book of Job. Much to learn, which only Daddy can teach to those that are willing and Father does that, I see it happening daily to me, not that I got it, I don't, yet God does for us all to stand in as in Col 1:21-23, to ask to grow up in this love and mercy given us 9hebrews 5:12- 6:3 to be new in love to all, no more a few as we all are first taught to only love those that love you back, what good is that? Does worry or fear ever help? One, anyone can learn from those though
Each person knows this truth that you asked about within themselves.
Therefore go into your own closet and close the door, pray to Father, and tell Father truth, whatever that is. Those things you will not tell others being in disgust over such as worldly lusts we all have gotten caught up in at one tine or another, being afraid to God alone no more others to be afraid of, then be revealed truth from Daddy (The Holy Spirit) to be an open book in love to all as a response to God through you, thanking God for the Mercy seat of Son for us all to stand in and love all regardless, not by self doing it, more importantly Father doing it through you, and you get amazed at the words that come through you, not been g you that is doing it anymore
It is this love given us in risen Son that overcame evil and overcomes evil
I am a sinner, I have sinned and have continued in sin after choosing to believe God over it all.
By God, who takes anyone in, that decides to stand in belief to his done work for them, will begin new
Re-read Ephesians 1:1-13
Verse 6, Accepted
verse 7, Forgiven
Verse 13, sealed
Sealed to be revealed the whole truth, nothing but the truth, and only depend on Father and Son as Won for you. then you will do the done work of God in risen Son for us all
It begins in being reconciled as in 12 Cor 5:17-20. God knows who do believe God and not care for anything else to get given, like Solomon, even though he failed also
God remained to love him too and not by work, by trust to God to get him through giving him the wisdom needed to help everyone to see truth God is the truth, Son is the way, thank you

I just took a moment to read your very personal testimony. Incredible, and moving-- a testimony to the grace of God, to know you now and converse with you here DESPITE all you have had to suffer through. That's the miracle-- that you were lost, but now are found.

Truly, whether you knew it or not-- and without any realization of the fact-- "in truth" you, in all your circumstances, have been serving, reigning, ruling as a priest in His kingdom. A "true" priest in the order of Melchizedek, serving God through Christ in spirit and in truth.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
