The main focus of the word repent, gives us the idea to receive comfort or be the comforter and consoler which can bring comfort as two walking together. As man repents he receives comfort, God repents to comfort his own self knowing His will was done on earth as it is in heaven just as by faith knew it would be
It is how I believe we are comforted by the comforter the Holy Spirit, disciplining those he does love.
To repent is a work of God and as always he must do the first work in creting new creatures. In this case the work of Him turning us so that we then after he turn us by the hearing of His voice in return we can repent and comfort ourselves knowing he cannot deny Himself if he has paid the full wage of sin.
Having been comforted we are reminded of our youth, in respect to the milk of the word which teaches us He is gracious to forgive of all sins and continue cleanse us of from daily unrighteousness to the very end. If he has begun the good work of faith in us he will finish it to the very end. Finishing is better than starting, just as patience is better than pride.
