Still God is building a Kingdom that can't be shaken.
The creation was subject to vanity in Hope that we would overcome:

Without overcoming we would still be in danger of falling.

You are correct. The New Jerusalem is the Bride of Christ and Rev. 21:9 speaks of it.

Also, to those who are of Hebrew Roots, I've read that there will be a temple rebuilt in the New Jerusalem, but according to the same chapter, there is no need for a temple for God and His Lamb is our light.
