Today was one of those secret santa days i.e behind the scenes of a christian life where you do secret stuff without anyone knowing you are doing it, so they'll get a surprise later (a good one)

People seem to think that christians are always front and centre at church either bashing the Bible or thrashing a guitar in a worship band, or asking other christians out on dates. . But some christians go undercover.

Something that has been on my mind the last few months, and this might seem elementary...

But EVERYTHING good I/ we have is a gift from God. Even the bad things are used for his glory and our growth.

For example, I am a mechanic, I used to think it was something most people could do if they wanted. With a little experience they would pick it up.
Well 25ish years later I realize some people just don't and won't get it.

But I realize this ability was given to me by God. Without it I could not do what I do. So through that ability and his guidance in my career I have a well paying job that provides for my family.

I could list many more things...

God is amazing!

In my world that is what seperates a good nerd from a bad nerd. Bad nerds be like, "Haha, I'm soooo much smarter than you idiots!" (Ignoring the fact a lot of them are pretty dumb in almost all non-computer areas.) Good nerds be like, "I've been given an ability most people around me don't seem to have, so it would be really useful if I helped other people with computer stuff."

Today as soon as the service ended, the family behind us invited us over for dinner.

It was a Thanksgiving feast! They had another family over as well.

We ate, talked and played a game.

It was a really nice time!

A meeting that I was supposed to have was canceled. 🎉

My class finished a big project and the kiddos were super pleased with themselves. Their joy is contagious.

I think the Lord has given me grace as he always does and its always sufficient for me.

Even in the hardest times, grace will see me through. Its hard to be humble in a world that is always about 'me me me' but we must learn...even in school its like they put on the certificates 'we proudly present' instead of 'we humbly acknowledge' and teach children to be all about themselves. Its hard to get out of that competitive mindest when schools are run like business and cut costs. But thats the cost of children being sacrificed...?

I guess am not making much sense but I know God is always in control even when theres chaos around us.
