What is better for you: the plans that you do for your life or Jesus’ plans for you?
• Jer 29:11-13 -> “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. ”.
If we really believe that Jesus is good for those who fear and believe in Him (Ps 34:8; 100:5; 135:5; 145:9,18; Nahum 1:7) why did we take so much cares on our life? Why do we try to take over all situation if, in the end, everyone only will get what Jesus allows? Take a look in all these excerpts:
• Jer 10:23 -> “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.”.
• Joh 3:27 -> “John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.”.
• Joh 19:10,11 -> “Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.”.
• Mat 6:27 -> “And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life?”.
• Luk 12:15 -> “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”
Even if we could get something without Jesus’ permission, certainly would be something bad:
• James 1:16,17 -> “Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”.
Besides, we would have to make much effort in order to keep the blessings safe from thieves, destruction, etc.
On the other hand, if we hear Jesus’ voice, all that it is unshakable in our life (what He bestowed us – 1Cor 2:9; Eph 1:3; 2Pe 1;3; Heb 12:25-27) will go after us wherever we go:
• Deu 28:1,2 -> “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: and all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”.
So, have a good day delivering your life to Jesus, don’t minding how terrible is the circumstances. Jesus can give us much more than we can imagine if we allow His power works in us and through us (Eph 3:20).
