What is better: go fast toward our ways of death (moved by our bad wishes) or go slow toward of heaven (moved by Jesus’ grace)?
• Pro 14:28 -> “In the multitude of people is the king's honor, but in the lack of people is the ruin of the prince.”.
The multitude of people proves that the king is savvy, righteous, a true authority, inasmuch as this shows that he can administer his kingdom with justice and truth:
• Pro 16:12 -> “It is a hateful thing for kings to commit wickedness; for the throne is established by righteousness.”.
• Pro 25:5 -> “Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be founded in righteousness.”.
• Isa 16:5 -> “And in mercy the throne shall be established; and he shall sit on it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking judgment, and speeding righteousness.”.
In the lack of people, the prince can’t grow in goodness, mercy, ken, wisdom, etc., because there is nobody to whom he can serve. After all:
• Pro 18:1 -> “He that separates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound wisdom.”.
Furthermore, we can’t forget that:
• Pro 11:14 -> “Where there is no wisdom, the people fall; but in the multitude of wise men there is safety.”
• Pro 15:22 -> “Without wisdom, purposes are defeated, but by many wise men they are established.”.
• Pro 24:6 -> “For by wise counsel you shall make your war; and in a multitude of wise men there is safety.”.
So, have a good day circumvent yourself with good counselors, specially those whose advice is against what you consider sound and correct. After all, many times adversaries are put in our life so that we can review our concepts and values, as well as stir us up to improve our character and intimacy with the Creator.
