There is an event which happened when I was 15 yrs old and is quite a lengthy story and I would need write it offline in my open office program because I often fumble on my keyboard and accidently erase my work so if you think it appropriate I will go offline and write it up but need a break here also so would be some time. Actually had maybe four inexplicable events. Age 9?, 14?, 15? and ?..
I hear ya. I often write off line then copy / paste because I tend to screw up in the writing process lol

But I think we would have to know what these events were to get all the info needed to make a real response.

"Blasphemy is associating the Holy Spirit to Satan."

As much as I would like to agree yet who was Jesus talking to? Who there would know the works being done was of the sweet holy Spirit? The world makes fun of this all the time and have no clue what so ever its of God. Yet it was they whom He was talking to.

Its not just saying "oh that's not of God that's the devil" . The sin against the Holy Spirit by virtue of this seriousness is not merely a particular act rather to blaspheme, the Spirit reflects an attitude that is decidedly against God and His nature. The harsh term blasphemy denotes a deliberate and godless rejection of the saving power of grace of God. The Pharisees were well on their way towards having this attitude as is indicated by their assertion that Jesus had joined forces with the devil . Its not that God is unable to forgive or does not want to instead those who persist in this godless attitude stubbornly refuse to repent. They do not want to receive forgiveness and prefer to continue in their slander of Gods Servant. So if anyone should be concerned that they might have committed such an offense they can rest assured they have not :)

Additional thought Mark 3:39-30 it can be translated "but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit has no forgiveness forever but is guilty of an eternal sin. Because they keep saying "He has an unclean spirit". The Pharisees who called the Holy Spirit in Jesus an unclean spirit were rejecting the Spirits witness to Jesus as Messiah and Saviour, so were rejecting the only salvation and forgiveness God has provided.

Amen
i would assume noting that equaling Satan to the Holy Spirit was pretty much what you posted.

have you ever thought about why they claimed Jesus did His miracles through Satan?

Paul tells us in the Book of Romans God [[BLINDED]] the Jews of Jesus' day.

in fact, of the 500 people Paul claims WITNESSED the Risen Jesus, if we claim those were Jews it would be a confirmation considering over 3 million Jews existed back then. this was a TEACHING moment for us who READ the New Testament. the Jews were destined to defy Christ because God Blinded them. so this is about people who would be taught this before the New Testament existed and then could read for themselves after the New Testament was in existence.

Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is to be in such a state of wicked evil self righteousness that when you witness a good work of God you hate it. The Pharisees that Jesus warned were just that. Rather than see the sick healed and the blind see and demons cast out, rather than have compassion on the poor afflicted and have joy because suffering was relieved they hated the works and the worker and the saved because their own self righteousness was brought into question. They were so far from repentance Jesus warned them that they couldnt be forgiven.
Paul wrote in the Book of Romans that God BLINDED the Jews.

of course they would say what they did.

but more than anything else, this is a lesson for anyone afterwards that preached this or could read for themselves in the New Testament.

An Inexplicable Event

I preface this by saying the persons mentioned herein that may seemingly be implicated in some prosecutable behavior are all deceased. The following event occurred when I was 15 years of age in the year 1967. Some things I need mention which directly impinges on the event is my physical and mental state and my beliefs. At the time I was a self proclaimed atheist and would use alcohol and marijuana, hashish, quaaludes, pcp, angel dust and LSD on a relatively regular basis. I was allowed to drink alcohol at home from an even younger age. e.g. I don't recall when I first was allowed to drink but I do recall going to the taverns with my mother to get her beer and she would buy me a bottle of Thunderbird wine which I think cost about 69cents. And prior to this I was often allowed to have shots of Rock&Rye, particularly when my bronchitis was troublesome. I know that at times I was quite intoxicated because I would wake up early in the morning and wonder where I was. I think that was due to drinking but I don't know if maybe all kids have that occur at maybe age 9 or 10. This never occurred to me till just now. So on with the event but also a quick mention that I was probably average in size but maybe on the skinny side, not that it is particularly significant. Most of the kids and myself were fairly well known by the local police for various crimes and I may have been to court on several occasions for burglary and vandalism but it seems the police and courts were really trying to crackdown on drugs. On that note I was just a user although the police were never sure who was dealing and would on occasion even roust me.
Finally the event. A bunch of us were hanging out and probably drinking and drugging and I asked if anyone wanted to go with me and break into the Catholic church that my family was associated with and two of the kids said ok. So we went. We found a basement window open and easily made entry. This is in Chicago and the building has heating elements attached to the wall and covered with sheet metal to prevent accidental burns by touching the elements. The three of us are in the middle of the room and for some reason there is a loud noise as though someone banged on the sheet metal covering the heating elements. One of the kids says excitedly, “that's God, let's get out of here”. I replied, “there is no such thing as God”. He calmed down fairly quickly and we made our way upstairs and behind the altar where I found what I was looking for, a chalice to drink my drinks from. I have no idea what made think of wanting a chalice in the first place. Now that I think of it! Seems strange. Strange kid? I did try building a coffin in my basement. It wasn't very good but I did sort of relax in it. Hadn't thought of that little gem till just now. Now me and one kid are by the altar and the other kid is off to a side room. And the paten (small plate used in serving eucharist at mass) goes flying and lands almost in between the pews and is spinning around on its edge. The kid with me excitedly again says, “that's God, let's get out of here”. Again I assure him there is no God and calm him down and we end up taking some microphones with stands and even found some wine in a safe. What a bonus! We make our way back to where we all ended up drinking up the wine. Tasted just like wine, even out of the chalice. I recall that we discussed hiding the microphones and stands and that the police would probably come by, if not for the theft, in search of one of the kids that they were looking for. I know we must have also talked about the strange things that occurred in the church building because I told the kids that if there were such a thing as God we would be caught first thing in the morning. Now this is something that I didn't think of until perhaps just the past year. But now I thing of my three denials of God in one evening and Peter's three denials. Coincidence? I knowing that the police would show up did my best to stash the microphones with stands in a closet and covered them with a sheet. Well, sure enough the police showed up at almost daybreak under the pretense of looking for the other kid they were searching for. Then they asked if they could search around about a burglary that occurred and the kids' mother that lived there gave the ok. The police were not real aggressively searching and one of them opened the closet door where I had the stuff stashed and when he went to close the door somehow, (a breeze), caused the sheet to move and exposed the glimmer of the stands. Busted! So now they cuff all of us and one of the kids says, “there is a God”, and I replied, “coincidence”. This incident was relegated to some fairly deep recesses of my brain as I had never thought of it until about five years ago when my neighbor's daughter thought there was an intruder in their house which is also an unusual incident possibly also inexplicable.

In reference to the group at large. Jesus was addressing a handle full of pharisees that were there at the time.

Interesting experience! I too have seen many miraculously inexplicable things happen. Off the top of my head I would say the things you saw happen were God.

Yes Peter denied Jesus 3 times. But Peter was still saved. So denial in and of itself is not an eliminator.

This to me does not read as blaspheme of the Holy Spirit, which is the only eliminator.

But what does concern me is the spiritual ties you forged in your youth. When you submit to a spiritual authority, you are subject to that authority until those ties are broken. You break them by confessing them, and repenting of them. You can as one saved by the blood of Christ silence, bind, and cast them out. But this is not always easy. It may require fasting and prayer, actually I will say it WILL require fasting and prayer (and remember that without prayer you're just starving). People can be saved but still be demon oppressed - not possessed, but oppressed. And these demons do NOT want to see you free so they will fight to maintain their hold on you.

Get yourself a good concordance (Strong's being one of the best), and several different translations of the Bible (by studying different translations you'll get a more comprehensive idea of what the passages are saying), and study the passages about spiritual warfare. Just being in the word will weaken the demonic bonds, and put to use those things you learn about such warfare. God repeatedly in His word says perseverance is the key to winning, expect that this will be a war of attrition with the benefit of knowing Who wins in the end. Expect good days and bad days but keep at it.

You will be saved (and already are), but demonic oppressors can make your life here a living hell. They will sow doubt and anger at God, but remember where it is coming from. And on days you fall don't give up, just get up and keep fighting the fight. I promise you in the end it will be well worth it, as your Father finally calls you home and says well done faithful servant!

Thank you very very very much for that info. I was sort of getting an inkling of an idea regarding just what you have pointed out here. One more question please. Is the term strongholds involved here. i.e breaking of strongholds?

What is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost?
In the end times, the blasphemy is when God's elect are delivered up before Satan and they refuse to allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them to expose Satan as a fake. Luke 10:9-12. Satan will come first, before Jesus, claiming to be God and will deceive many and cause a great falling away. II Thess 2:1-4

What is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost?
Hebrews 10:29
“Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”

Hebrews 6
2Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3And this will we do, if God permit. 4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

The Mark of the Beast is an 'Unpardonable Sin'. Perhaps Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost and the Mark of the Beast are the same thing.

The unforgivable sin answer is in verse 30 of Mark 3 as relates to verse 22, insinuating that Jesus is in fact aligned with the devil or Beelzebub and his spirit is unclean.

Mark 3:22-30

22And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. 23And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? 24And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 27No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. 28Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: 30Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit

The "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" is mentioned in Mark 3:22-30 and Matthew 12:22-32. This case of blasphemy is a specific one, called "the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" in Matthew 12:31. In Matthew 12:31-32, the Pharisees (who were not Christians) having witnessed irrefutable proof that Jesus was casting out demons in the power of the Holy Spirit, claimed instead that Jesus had an unclean spirit and casts them out by Beelzebul the ruler of the demons. (Matthew 12:24; Mark 3:30) Jesus was very specific about what they did to commit "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" and these Pharisees who committed this unforgivable sin were not believers.

Lets start with Matthew 12:31&32

31. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

The Pharisees could not have committed this sin. They committed a lot but not this one.

Please get your bible out and turn with me to Luke 21. and we will figure this out together.

Here we have Jesus and some of the disciples leaving the temple; unlike Mark 13 and Matthew 24 it does not say they went to the Mt of Olives they may have this may or may not have taken place at the same time. All 3 have similar accounts. Same time different time you decide it is the message we want to look at.

Verse 7. And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

They wanted Jesus to tell them about the sings of His second coming and the end of the world.

Verse 8. And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I amChrist; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

We need to take heed to this same message today. We ave a church on almost every corner and everyone seams to have a different doctrine, a different truth. Jesus told them and He is telling us today DO NOT be deceived. Listen to My word and My word only.

Verse 9. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

It is not time yet.

Verse 10. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. 11. And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

We are getting closer.

Verse 12. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

Before verses 10 and 11 something else is going to take place. What is a synagogue? It is a church it was the type church Jesus went to and taught in. They the “religious people, some your own kin, mother, father, brother, sister”

Verse 13. And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

What are you going to give testimony to? It told us in the last verse For my Name's sake. A testimony before everyone about Jesus.

Verse 14.Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

When this happens to you; you are not to thank about what you are going to say. Why the Holy Spirit is going to take over and do all the talking and everyone of those Nay Sayers will be put in there place. They will not ave an answer to what you are going to say. Why? The Holy Spirit is the one doing the talking.

Verse 16.And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

Put to death or better said brought to death. Who is death Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Verse 17.And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

You do not have to worry about it

Verse18.But there shall not an hair of your head perish. Verse 19.In your patience possess ye your souls.

Verse 14.Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

This is the unforgivable sin. Jesus wants to speak through you to put Satan, the Antichrist and those working with him in there place. He also wants to speak through you to reach as many people as He can Just as on the day of Pentecost. If you refuse and start to speak your own words and not allow the Holy Spirit to do the talking that is unforgivable. It is like you telling Jesus to take a back seat you got this. Do I thank anyone is going to commit that sin? NO. Those that Jesus puts in that place, gives that honor to I do not thank they will let Him down.

Again you do not have a thing to worry about what does verse 18 say But there shall not a hair of your head parish.

Verse 19 In your patience possess ye your souls. By waiting on the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to speak through you; You possess, you keep your soul.

The Pharisees during the time of Jesus could not have committed the unpardonable sin. They did not have the Holy Spirit trying to speak through them so they could not prevent it.

Your conclusion is not at all what the LORD Jesus Christ said.

Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is calling the miracle working Power and Witness of the Holy Spirit as being from satan = just as the Pharisees were attempting to do until the LORD Jesus Christ warned them.

Very clear in His Word so please avoid the miscuing of scripture.

So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. 27No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.
The Unpardonable Sin
28“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”—
30because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.

This is why we should never speak evil of the continuing work of the Holy Spirit that was poured out on Pentecost.

Furthermore, the LORD Jesus Christ connected this unforgivable sin to the Mark = Read Revelation chapters 12-14

Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

NOTE: John McArthur has said that if you receive the Mark you can be forgiven for taking the Mark of the Beast.
So here is an example of a modern day pharisee speaking against the Holy Spirit.
Did he commit the unforgiveable sin??? = i will not judge him on that nor accuse him of that and believe that he is just blinded by his religious error.

The LORD has warned everyone to avoid speaking against His words.

For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

The mark seems to be literal...
Revelation 14
9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

Rejecting salvation is the only sin that gets you unforgivable. The Greek word is to 'spurn' or reject the Holy Ghost. Holy Spirit works to convince men of sin according to the Bible. Rejecting this is how everyone that is lost is lost. There is no unforgivable sin. But refusing the Holy Ghost forever.
