In short, we can say that laws are important when we aren’t sufficient mature to keep in touch with Jesus (2Cor 3.14,16; 2Peter 1.19; Gal 3.24,25). Otherwise, He Himself lead us (Rm 8.14; Gl 5.16,18,25) and make us perfect (Eph 2.12,13; Jude 24).
It isn't any Jesus that saved us, but the Jesus of the Holy Scripture that was crucified and rose in the third day.
He rescues us from the sin, that is to say, from living a picayune life, full of deadly poison. Without Jesus whatever we say ou do only will contribute to fill the other person of mischievous ideas.
We have to please the neighbor only in what is good for their edification (Romans 15.2). Who don't carry out this, is sowing lie or vanity (what don't bring any profit - see Lam 2.14) and consequently, will reap falsehood and shame (see Gal 6.7-9).
For this, we need to love Jesus, that is to say, to be bound to Him, walking and living in Him (Gal 5.16,22), not moved on by our fear of the hell or the desire of be blessed, but for considering Him our true inheritage (see Gen 15.1).
As John (John 3.29), our pleasure ought to be the hypothesis of being used by Him in favor of His Body so that, as the angels (Psa 34.7; 1Peter 1.16), we can assimilate all this wisdom hide in His Bride (His mistery - 1Cor 2.7; Col 1.27)
