7 – Repentance:
When people speak about salvation, the first thing that come in their mind is conversion. Although this is important, it only has value after a genuine repentance. Otherwise, the person will have only a shallow changing.
But, what is repentance? Differently of the remorse (where the person rues in virtue of the denouement of what he did – it was what came over Judas Iscariotes), the repentance is a gloom that comes about a person in consequence of him having sadden Jesus’s heart.
That is to say, this person mourns for his actions and, mainly, for the true reality wherein his heart is.
And, on the contrary that most of the people believes, this repentance go beyond our will:
As you can see, we can’’t play games with the sin. If we stay sinning, our heart can be make into diamond (Zech 7.11,12) and, thus, impossible of being reached by the repentance of the Creator:
So, let’s prepare our heart so that we can find place of repentance in all moments (see Jl 2.12,13; James 4.8-9). Perhaps you are asking: how to do this? One of the ways of doing this is regretting for the sins (and its aftermaths) of the people around us (Isa 53.3; Dan 9.20; Lam 2.11; Jer 9.1; Ezek 9.4; 2Cor 2.4,5; 7.8-11; Exoodus 32.11-12).
