What is our mission in this world?
This question sounds like simple. Everyone will say: “to glorify Jesus”. But what will we do before the evil?
Many people think that their mission is to turn this world into a better place to live, which implies in make people into a better human beings.
Nonetheless, see what it is said below:
• Luk 5:10 -> “and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.” “.
Note that Jesus’ desire is that we can fish His people out of the sea (what represents this world). It isn’t to transform the sea and the other fished that live in it, but take them away from the sea.
And James said:
• Jas 1:27 -> “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”.
The true religion is to keep ourselves unspotted from the world. After all, our mission is:
• 2Co 5:18-20 -> “All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”.
How can we reconcile people with Jesus if they aren’t able to see Him and to know Him?
So, our target isn’t to change the world, but let the Holy Spirit to clean us (Titus 3:4-6) so that we can manifest Jesus’ glory wherever we go (Mat 5:14-16; John 8:11; 9:5; 2Co 3:18).
In the other words, it is us who need to change, so that we can be a referential of the truth (1Tim 3:15).
So, people of the world don’t need to change. Each of them, with their evil, are like Judas, Pilate, Herod, the Antichrist, that is to say, they have a role to fulfill in the plan of the Creator.
Our mission is to keep us uncontaminated so that everyone who was elected by Jesus can be risen and fulfill the calling below so that the Holy Spirit can carry out in them the work for what they were called (Act1 13:1,2; Phil 2:12,13):
• Rev 18:4 -> “Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues;”.
So, have a good day keeping your heart always free of all grudge, avarice, debauchery, regardless all the efforts of people to entice you or abet in you bad feelings.
