It certainly doesn't mean the label by which He is known. Nobody is saved simply by believing that someone living two thousand years ago was called Jesus. "Name" in the bible, especially when talking about God the Father, or God the Son, includes His authority, His power, indeed His whole being. It's a bit like a policeman saying, "Stop in the name of the law!" The law doesn't have a name like Mary or James. It means, "Sop by the authority of the law."

Because of the fact that we are able to trace back to the area Capernaum from the time of Christ and can now comfortably understand the area was merely an uneducated fishing area that basically spoke Aramaic\Hebrew 95% of the time we know that the name the Disciples spoke was Christ is without a doubt Yeshua.
I have noticed in praying for healing, for Salvation, for miracles to happen for other people it happened about 20% when I would say in the NAME of Jesus. But the past couple of years I have been praying in the NAME of Yeshua and have seen about a 70% success rate. And when I examined the 30% I noticed people were healed in the form of going to Heaven or maybe the request was selfish and not according to the Will of God. And this praying in the NAME of Yeshua has been very good against spiritual things and against demonic powers.
So I truly believe using the original form of the NAME is key to fulfilling Mark 16 asking-praying-seeking-doing-laying hands on....etc....in His NAME but using the NAME of Yeshua is a more proper way to pray.
It's a NAME foretold in Prophecy and its meaning connects directly to YHVH or Yahvew\Yahweh.
As far as the Thread title and question are concerned, I believe the OP was inspired by God to create this Thread. In Mark chapter 16 Yeshua Himself instructed us to do things like pray, ask, seek, lay hands upon, command in His NAME. I just feel I have learned personally by experience that the original NAME of Yeshua seems to have more power and be more effective than using the Greek\English name or the translated name.

The way, the truth and new life given in the risen life offered everyone to have, Believe, receive and be new in. the love for all given you by God for you. yet it takes willing belief between God and you to eventually see, provided you, me and others continue, do not quit belief he is risen where new life is given free of charge forever and ever, at least me I see I am thankful, beyond measure, and any physical understanding ever.

Jesus life everlasting for us to be at rest in trust to Daddy's lead through us, in Daddy's Holy Spirit, given us to abide in freely, not having to, deciding to, and one sees new a gigantic difference in performing and really doing, to me at least No more flesh works. God's Spirit work only, at least me seeing this and learning this the difference daily.
The risen Savior, Jesus, we get given Life everlasting to our Souls, flesh nature dead, Yet held alive in the flesh by God for us through Son's done work on the cross first, that took away sin in Father's sight for us the people.
What is left, after the willing Jesus' one time only death that Jesus (past tense) has done once for us all (Hebrews 10:10) that is done (John 19:30) we are forgiven or reconciled (2 Corinthians 5:17-20) We today, presently, know him no more in the flesh (2 Corinthians 5:16)

The entire Bible I see is a gigantic love story from God Father and Son to us all to choose to be new or not, thank you
This brought in a Greater covenant, no longer under Law to get, it is now a gift given to those that are sincere and do not care for any self gain in being g given it, that then is given to those that Father knows, New Life as in (John 4:23-24)
(Hebrews 7:11-12) if the first Covenant could make men perfect (Which could not) So Jesus the perfect one, Won for us to go to Father now in the present and daily do so.
Father and Son that Won are One to make us Won with them. It is right over wrong attitude that evil hates and plays mix evil and good, that has got many confused
