So... I'm single and i have been single for as long as i can remember. I was told that God is going to send the man for me so as a lady I am not to go looking but i feel like i am growing older and nothing is happening. I am such a ;) beautiful person, what do i do while i wait?

^^0 Yeah, I'm gonna go with "Give God something to work with..."

It's true that He'll lead you, but go get involved with stuff. Meet a bunch of people, and try to make some friends. The more people there are actually in your life...the easier it would be for God to lead one to you (or you to them).

The bible also says God will provide my needs...
but that doesn't mean I shouldn't go to the supermarket when I need groceries.

It's alright to meet people; it's alright to look... IF you're willing to take your time, and trust in God, and wait for him to give you his best.

God is certainly capable of dropping a man directly onto your porch, any minute of any day, if that is what he chooses. But "porch dropping" doesn't seem to be his usual method.
: )

I would be more interested in making friends than finding "the one". The basic goal that I hear over and over about marriage from couples and singles, is that you want to marry your best friend. Make friends now, get married later. Spend this time loving on God.

Proverbs says, "A man who finds a wife, finds a good thing." Not, "A person who sits around and waits for someone to fall into their lap waits for a good thing."

God didn't speak a big boat into creation, and fill it with animals. God told Noah that He had a plan, but Noah had to get to work. ^_^

Ask, yes, and it will be given...but also SEEK! Because if you don't seek, not very likely you'll find.

Unless he'll be the UPS man, you gotta get yourself out there if you haven't already

These are all wonderful advice. I guess i should start doing things so i can meet people.

[h=2]But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.[/h]

It is not the Heavenly Father's will to withhold blessings from His children, but one ought to diligently ask Him according to His will to receive. So I advise that you seek the Lord faithfully, and serve in His house and fellowship with believers for that could be an avenue to meet the right man. ;)

*feels convicted to be more social*

....meeehhhh.....never mind.
