I am not sure about Manoodle joefizz but if you can post a picture maybe I can recognize it :) but don't bother yourself too much :D

'glad to know that u have tried Filipino food and u love it yayy thank you :) ...maybe if you will find a place a Filipino restaurant closer to where u live maybe try to ask for lechon I am sure you will going to love it too :)
We Visayan people prepared the best lechon :D for me because I am from Visayas :D

well considering our cultures and languages it isn't surprising lol,also chicken neck wasn't have bad either though okra(I don't care how I spell it,it is awful to me)I could live without,and crusted fish and certain styled eggrolls are pretty good!

When u said manoodle, i thought it might be menudo, but wasnt sure that is original filipino food. I know it has potatoes, raisins, bell peppers too...

That's quite alright. We cannot force our taste on others=). After all, as i said earlier, there are foods i used to like but no more. After i began to eat yogurt much later in life, i no longer think of it as filipino food or not, just good food. Some of our foods are a bit too sweet now, i must say, like the tocino (sweet cured meat) we grew up with, and even pasta sauces are sweetened. I prefer to get the italian style sauces w/o the added sugars. Idk, there was the special bibingka recipe i once posted, and dont know if u have tried or would like that, but just a thought.

I don't think menudo is not an original Filipino food...A very close Mexican friend of mine told me that they also have this Menudo dish but their Menudo is not the same as our Menudo except that they share very few similar ingredients. And I haven't seen yet a dish that is the same like menudo in any other style of food preparation from another country... :)
 
Fish ball. Barbecue on stick. Turon. Banana que. Igado. Bakareta. Grilled bangus belly dipped in alamang & calamansi. Kilawin. My saliva is startong to well up.

Yes, those saba bananas made into turon or banana q are always there, everywhere. I am not familiar w/ igado and bakareta... now that i check bakareta is the calderetta after all=). Grilled bangus belly is one of those simple pleasures.

Let me share something read in last sunday's Panorama, on the filipino's colonial mentality on food. Said we so looked up to foreign food long ago that our freedom day food was all french!

Obsession with superiority of foreign food is clearly illustrated by the meal served on Sept. 29, 1898 when the Kawit declaration of independence was ratified by Aguinaldo’s government in Malolos. As reported by an American journalist covering the Spanish-American War for Harper’s and verified by a surviving menu in a museum in Cagayan de Oro, the dishes and the elaborate menu were French. The lengthy repast offered seven appetizers, seven courses, and four desserts!

“Hors d’Oeuvre: Huitres, Crevettes roses; beurre radis; olives; Saucisson de Lyon; Sardines aux tomates; Saumon Hollandaise. [Entrees] Coquille de crabes; Vol auvent a la financiere; Abatis de poulet a la Tagale; Cotelettes de mouton a la papillote, pommes de terre paille; Dinde truffee a la Manilloise; Filet a la Chateubriand, haricots verts; jambon froid-asperges en branche. Dessert. Fromages; Fruits; Confitures; gele de Fraises; Glaces. Vins: Bordeaux, Sauterne, Xeres; Champagne. Liquers: Chartreuse; Cognac. Café, The.”

Fast forward to today and current culinary developments sweeping the world, notably the campaign to “Eat Local” which preaches that local food is not only acceptable; it is preferable... one begins to understand the sudden switch in food styles notably among the Beautiful People, who now proudly munch on cheap street food they used to look down upon.

there is another one that is good it's kind of spinach looking and just like with beef steak you can use the liquid from it on the rice to add flavor,now that I think of it I can't remember the name it is all vegetable with I think some spinach like stuff with peas,anyone know what it's called?
 
My favorite yay we called this Pinangat in our province( yam leaves cooked using coconut milk it is spicy and yummy yay!!!s2.jpg
 
I'm actually a fan of Jollibee's chicken. I saw their Valentines day ad and I got so emotional. It's really heartfelt just for a fastfood commercial. And that's how I decided to try their food.

never heart of that but it sounds good,filipino foods are great tasting to me,though some aren't quite as good as others and some you can gain alot on,adobo and beef steak for example along with rice,taste great so it's tough to not eat too much of them!
 
I just saw it on Youtube. People are doing reaction videos of those TV ads. A Filipino neighbor made me try what they called sizzling sisig. Looks peculiar but great with rice and egg. Something I would love to eat during rain.
