What is your inheritance and where does it come from?
• Pro 19:14 -> “House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD.”.
Certainly, the most precious inheritance comes from the Creator:
• Jas 1:16,17 -> “Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”.
And His reward is exactly His people who fear His name.
It is true that those who believe in Jesus ought to leave something special for their children:
• 2Co 12:14 -> “Here for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be a burden, for I seek not what is yours but you. For children are not obligated to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.”.
• Pro 13:22 -> “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous.”.
Nonetheless, although the children need material goods, the focus of their parents should be the spiritual things, in particular aiming the holy home, which is the cell of the Church and of great value before the Creator (Heb 13:4).
Besides, the marriage between husband and wife is a good illustration of the relationship between Jesus and His Bride.
