I find it quite difficult to be honest. We do not have 6000 years of recorded history. . In fact, historians and anthropologists estimate that 95% to 99% of human history has been completely lost to time
The Bible does not have 6000 yrs of history in it either since the main reason we have that book, is to connect to our Creator and become aware of Him sending His Son to this earth.

Well no, its just someone added up the lineages of all the people the Bible mentioned from Adam and Eve, as it does list their ages, and came to that conclusion. We do know how old Jewish history is, as their years go back to around 6000 (not exactly) while us Christians count from around the time of Jesus birth (AD - now up to 2026)
Other civilisations, that are around today also count around that number of 6000 (estimate) Eg Chinese. Both Hebrew and Chinese kept meticulous records of their ancestors and calendar years and they are preserved right up to the present day.
The oldest trees, are around 6000 years, as estimated, and of course you can count the rings of the ones cut down. The oldest of those are around 5000 or so. The Olive trees that were there in Jesus time are still living today.
As you recall in the Bible trees are very important in Genesis. Trees are also mentioned in Revelation.

I say 6000 as an estimate, as who knows how many leap years or some such. A year is the length of time the earth goes around the sun in it's orbit. A day is from the time the sun comes up to the time the sun goes down, and a night is from sunset to dawn, and added together they come to 24 hours.

It's very easy to understand, you don't need to make things complicated by speculating about things that happened before God created the universe. It is not for us to know, even though some people like to imagine other things, and then interpret things to claim otherwise. They weren't there, it wasn't recorded, it didn't happen like they imagined. Fossils are made by compressed sedimentary rocks, which got that way because of a huge event i.e flood.
Noah would have kept the records of his ancestors on the ark, that is how we know about who came before him. Of course all other records would have been destroyed in the flood. And the story of Noah is prevalent in many civilisations. Not just the Hebrews (now Jews) history.
