What is your theory on penguins?

Saw this in the Christian bookshop. Looks like puffins, not penguins

How come penguins don't live in the North Pole, after all, it's cold up there. Or in snowy mountains? They could hang out in the lake. It looks like they could slide down the slopes, but how would they get back up if they can't fly? Why would you create a bird that couldn't fly? Makes no sense.

Not all birds fly. I think most if not all dinosaurs on 2 feet were actually birds. They even made nests. No reptiles walk on 2 feet. Ostrich and others.

I don't believe in evolution. We had way more animals when God created them. We lose thousands every year. They go extinct. They don't evolve into anything. Sometimes people intervene and we get more breeds of dogs. Even with that I still think there were always dogs verses wolves. Ancient Egyptians had dogs. But at last they're close.

The chicken didn't evolve from dinosaurs for example. No there were always chickens and always dinosaurs. The chicken has similar blood bc the "dinosaur" is actually a bird. Scientists just have confirmation bias bc they want so badly to make evolution real.

Yea I don't know why people want to make it so complicated. We had giant moas, and we have giant penguins, and we still have giant whales.

I got to see lots of penguins at the aquarium. They looked like they were having fun. They are so much faster in the water than on land where they can only waddle. Birds have feathers, reptiles don't. Both have eggs. Flight doesn't seem essential to reptiles, but for most birds they have wings.

I'd love to have physical wings. I suppose us humans just have to make do with our hands and feet and wear clothes.

I am not sure what this guy/gals name is. But these mascots have evolved with the times. I like the dancing happy feet 1938 one. Perhaps doing a tango or charleston? Or maybe the jitterbug.

Tux is a very chill penguin. He has just eaten a fish, and is contemplating the fish he just ate.

Tux was intentionally drawn as being happy and contemplative because that's what Linux is. Tux doesn't care about taking over the world like Microsoft and Apple are trying to do. Tux is busy doing his own thing. Some Linux fans care about market share, but Linux itself doesn't care at all. Tux just wants to do what Tux wants to do.

Why a penguin specifically? Because Linus Torvalds, the grandfather of Linux, likes penguins.

Why a Penguin?

    • Design Goal: When looking for a symbol, he wanted something fun and sympathetic instead of a stiff corporate logo.

Why Does He Look "Like That"?
    • The Vibe: Torvalds jokingly specified that the penguin should look as if it was filled with a warm meal and felt completely content.
    • The Name: Developer Larry Ewing created the classic design in 1996 using the GIMP image editor. Another developer, James Hughes, named it Tux because it stands for Torvalds UniX, and because penguins naturally look like they are wearing a tuxedo.
 
Uh... Specifically the penguin bit his finger. And Linus said it wasn't an aggressive bite, but more like the penguin thought his finger was a fish stick.
