When you are a Chieftess, you don't have to care about fitting into what others or society deems as worthy. Chieftesses don't have time for that.

Good thing you didn't start a cult!
like my username, enril, or prynce. usually i add the lionor on the end for beloved prynce, as roughly taken from tolkien.

i could imagine a woman going by herself to a hookah bar would be sending off the wrong signals, unless she was their on her laptop or someone was meeting up with her and she got their early. Being at places like that, there is a high chance of lack of morality but if you find the friendly hookahs bars, where the owner is a people person and all of the servers are people persons, then it is possible to enjoy being there. When the owner or the servers treat you with disrespect or they are emotionally unstable, it’s a little off putting.
This might not be the case here in Oklahoma, but I can't say for sure since I haven't been to a hookah lounge. I spend too much time with myself and critters. Here's my raccoon, stopping traffic earlier on its way here...

Here is Sailboat Bridge over Grand Lake. I love the scenery in that area and used to want to rent a cabin there.

Your Oklahoma videos crack me up, Carrie. They are just so random and not stressful, compared to the videos we get here, which are like car chases, killings, and other high stress warnings trying to create fear.

That’s a beautiful bridge and whatevers at the end of it looks worthwhile as well.

Here is big bear lake, up in the mountains close by. It’s the only place in the area that snows every year, and probably the closest place to looking like Oklahoma.

Before there were videos online to entertain people, we had police scanners and blotters to offer entertainment. Dad used to listen to the police scanner all the time and read the police blotter from a nearby small town. On the scanner it was common to hear that "the cows are out again." And I remember in the police blotter reading about some chicken that was loose downtown lol. Oklahoma is a hoot!

It's quite possibly my favorite area in the northern half of Oklahoma. Very scenic. There is an interesting museum that has trails and the exhibits are outside rather than in one big building.

I love the colors and the boats. Last time I went row boating was in 2015 and the last time I went paddle boating was sometime before that. I miss rowing a boat and paddling a boat. Good exercise and fun too.

Here's a donkey that a Okie officer picked up. The donkey was reunited with its owner. It left a big gift in the back of the squad car though (TMI: number 2!). The officer said, "It was a huge mess in the back, huge mess!"

You don’t see that every day!

At least you guys get pure entertainment there! Or at least what I see on here.

We use the have police detectors in our cars growing up, so my dad and mom can speed, without getting pulled over. I had some really foolish parents. Speaking of my dad, he called me yesterday, I told him he is a good dad, we talked for a little bit, he said he is going to my nephews 1st birthday party this weekend, so I guess I’m going to actually go. And he got me a bottle of special magnesium so I can go to sleep earlier. I didn’t sense one negative emotion in his and my entire conversation for once.

An outside museum, sounds enjoyable, as long as it isn’t raining. Unless if it is on a trail, so maybe rain wouldn’t be as bad.

i think the last time I went boating was in 2012, with my then fiancée and her family. We went to lake Powell in Utah. They had a house boat, dragging a speed boat, dragging two jet ski’s. We ended up going to walmart beforehand and bought enough groceries to last a week. We docked the house boat onto a little land mass and just camped there for a week, taking the speed boat around lake powell and seeing some of the wonders of the world while we were there. Such as rainbow bridge and grand canyon.

i always wanted to relive that trip but with other people.

Here is the only shopping center in the city I went to school at. It’s super small but it has a grocery store and like every major bank you can think of.

it was like a once in a lifetime experience. My ex’s dad owned a chiropractic business and it seemed like they were constantly working on their house. They had a second house in Parker, Arizona and they would go there every other weekend, to go on boats, jet ski’s and just relax.

One time, me and her cousin had an amazing idea. He was an electician and I’m an artist, so we designed a beer pong table that folded in out itself and we installed lights under each cup, along with lights on the side, and it also had speakers and played music, if you attached it to an auxiliary cord. It was like state of the art.

May you have safe travels this weekend and I hope all is harmonious with your family and I hope it'll be a blessed weekend over all! Also, I hope you continue to not sense any negative emotions in the conversations between you two.

It's one of my favorite museums. It has walking paths throughout and it's near the lake. The times I've been there were during pleasant weather.

I always wondered what it'd be like to live on a house boat. It sounds like you seen some smashing scenery.

Just keep at it. The more you do jobs you hate, you’ll start developing skills you never knew you had, just to never work those jobs again.

Get some rest man. I should be doing the same thing but I’ve had a bad habit lately of staying up until like 6 or 8 o clock in the morning here.

I sure hope so. I’m not a fan of disrepect or nonsupport from my family members but they do it all the time. After I created boundaries with my dad, it seems like he continues to treat me better and better every time we talk.

but with my mom, cause I live with her, there are no boundaries. She expresses every negative emotion that she will, without consequence. Which makes me think that I’m just an enabler.

Lake Powell and just the whole Utah/grand canyon area is very unique. The rock formations are unique to that land and that land alone.

That is a very pretty picture. You will not know what I am saying but this kinda looks like the bridge in the game legend of Zelda ocarina of time, where link first leaves his village.

I don’t know about that but I do get the message. Even though that person is a Christian, I think discerning if the song brings you a sense of peace is what I look for. Lyrics can have an effect on the way you think and behave, but I understand we are all going through different situations.

in my bridge post, I did reply to your comments but it isn’t separated and organized like your replies. I’m still a novice at formal communication on this platform but I’m learning.

Well, this is around the time the early worms wake up. I don’t have melatonin but I’m going to try and sleep. Just received my 1mg tablets today, so I am almost completely off of it. I feel a burning sensation in my mind, so I’m not sure what that is all about but I’m hoping it’s comforting enough to help me sleep.

I'm not going to lie, the weather isn't one of our selling points. Last winter, I heard a guy who moved here from Alaska complain about wintertime here lol. One time, when I was in Georgia, a Vietnam Vet heard that I'm an Okie. He told me that he'd been sent to Oklahoma after he was in Vietnam. After he encountered our weather though, he said he wanted to be sent back to Vietnam!
I live in the northern part of the state, so it can really get cold and it's always very windy up here. And like your dad said, summer is really hot and also very humid.
A lot of bad weather stories here, but I guess us Okies are just used to it. This state has a lot more pros than cons, imo.

Here is the bridge in Long Beach
Looks nice! I can't imagine the traffic there, or the population. Biggest city I've been to is Atlanta and it felt like there was nothing but people and more people and more people. And the traffic is madness. It certainly wasn't something I was used to. Here it's cows and more cows and more cows...and oil wells and more oil wells and more oil wells.
I did start to get used to Atlanta and almost moved there

I had taken some medication and ended up going to sleep after my Bird Trail post.

Here is our Winganon Space Capsul. No, it's not really a space capsul. It's actually a cement mixer that tipped over while full of cement. The tow truck couldn't remove it due to the weight of it. So, in good Okie fashion, we turned it into something fun. I've been by it several times...
