What makes homosexuality so bad?

sister if you knew the length the breath and the with of Gods love for us. if every man was a scribe, all the trees of the earth a pen, the oceans ink, and the sky paper we still couldn't write it out. being gay is natural to the world but it wasn't always... but the world is not natural to God any more because of the fall. but the beautiful thing is, that a relationship with your true Father goes well beyond sexual preference. He loves you so that He gave His Son. the Son Christ Jesus loves you so that He willingly layed His life for you. and the Spirit loves you so that from the day you were born to the last breath you take He will be there calling to you. God loves you sister, ask Him to open the eyes of your Heart to Him and let Him show you truth.

They didn't "freak out" over your statement about having empathy for gay people. What got us is the fact that you, a (former) christian, honestly believe that the gay lifestyle is harmless. And you SHOULD know that is not true. And since your christian friend also believes being homo is harmless, I seriously question her christianity..

Can YOU "sleep" with the knowledge that God WILL be upset that you, as a former christian, KNOW that homosexuality is wrong, but shout it from on high that it is harmless? Both you and your friend will answer to Him one day real soon. I hate to think where he will send both of you. Are you glad that you're making satan do the happy dance right now? Because you're serving satan right now with your delusional beliefs.

She believes it's wrong according to the bible.
I'm a lesbian, and I don't sleep around, nor do I force anyone into doing or thinking anything. I'm not sleeping around so I'm not at risk for diseases, I'm mentally stable. So maybe I am doing spiritual harm to myself by your standards but since you can't show me a negative way that it affects me apart from the bible I am fine.
I'm hurting no one. Yes I am doing bad in the bibles definition.
 
This whole thing started in heaven, Lucifer an angel in heaven and not just any angel but the one in charge of the angels became proud and wanted to exalt his position to be equal to or higher than God, but a created being can't run things only the Creator can and so he, Lucifer started a war in heaven trying to convince other angels in heaven that God was not fair putting God's character on trial.

Ezekiel 28:13"You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The ruby, the topaz and the diamond; The beryl, the onyx and the jasper; The lapis lazuli, the turquoise and the emerald; And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, Was in you. On the day that you were created They were prepared. 14"You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked in the midst of the stones of fire.…

Isaiah 14:13"But you said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'

Revelation 12:4 His tail swept a third of the stars from the sky, tossing them to the earth.

Lucifer also known as Satan was thrown down from heaven and tempted Adam and Eve to sin and ever since Satan has gained control of this earth anything God did Satan has made a counterfeit for.

If God asks us to worship Him and only Him Satan offers idols or wants the worship that is due to God.
If God says don't steal then Satan encourages stealing.
If God says not to lie the Bible tells us that Satan is the Father of lies.

So when God gave the institution of marriage between one man and one woman then Satan offers the alternative evil forms of adultery, homosexuality, sodomy, incest, and many others forms of evil practices.

The question isn't so much really what makes homosexuality so bad, but What makes sin so bad? It is going against God's pure character of love and purity and anything that takes us away from God is sin and when we sin we don't want to be around God or have anything to do with Him

Am I too far off the mark of how you may be feeling about God?

I am speaking from my own experience of sinning when I am engaged in it the last place I want to be is in the presence of God and the only place we are truly safe, happy and secure is in God's presence. At least that has been my experience.

God gave us these rules to follow to show us His love and to keep us happy and healthy safe and show us how to love Him and love our Neighbors.

OK, let's do a hypothetical situation here. Now, your partner cheats on you, comes home and the two of get it on. Now, since she slept with someone who has an STD, SHE now has that STD and has passed it on to YOU. Let's say that the STD you got from your partner is herpes. Are you aware that there is no cure for herpes, and if left untreated, it WILL kill you? So here you are with a deadly STD, counting down the days of your life and saying "Oh Lord, I wish I had listened to You." :/

You are defiling your body and the body of your partner. A female's lips and hands should not roam over what a MAN'S hands should be roaming over, if you get my drift. The private parts of a woman are reserved for a MAN to explore, not for another woman to explore. And you ARE hurting others. You're hurting your families, your friends, etc. Surely they would rather you be straight again. I'm sure that your family and hers are probably embarassed when people ask them, "is your daughter a lesbian".. :/ Their cheeks probably burn flame-red when they have to answer, "yes she is and she's going to hell for it".

And, MDD, hell is exactly where you're headed, because you're rebellious and unrepentant and you shun God's word even though you DO know His truth.

The same thing could happen if a man were to cheet on me with another woman. Did you think about that? It's no less likely.
And currently I am a virgin.
 
That's good, that you are a virgin. :) Stay that way, turn back to being straight, and save your virginity for a MAN.. The way God intended it to be. He did NOT create Eve and Ellen, after all.. He would much rather see you in a normal, natural, healthy relationship with a man. And are you aware that you're putting your partner's salvation in danger? You ARE leading her down the road to hell, after all. :/

Seriously? God MADE man to be with woman, and have woman submit to the man. That means he's entitled (as a husband) to anything he wants where his wife is concerned..

So I'm right that apart from the bible gay sex is no more dangerous than straight sex, because a partner of the opposite sex could cheat and catch an std.
 
Don't you get it? The SPIRITUAL harm you are causing to your salvation and soul, along with that of your partner, is MORE harmful than the bodily harm is? Surely you cannot be this foolish and blind.. YOU AND YOUR PARTNER ARE GOING TO HELL UNLESS YOU REPENT. What part of that doesn't scare the daylights out of you?!

God only designed sex to be between a husband & wife in marriage. I won't get into details but homosexual men who engage in sexual acts are damaging their bodies. So no I wouldn't put that at the same level as hetrosexual relations.

That's correct. No one is entitled to any part of you unless they have your consent. Non consensual sex is rape, whether it be with someone you know or someone you never met in a dark ally. Just because you have a marriage license doesn't mean 'he's entitled to anything he wants'. Context makes a distinctive difference.

1 Corinthians 7:3
The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.


1 Corinthians 7:4
The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife.


If a person is withholding themselves from the partner they are marriage to they are not fulfilling their marriage duties
