We can create structures that grow plants, and plants can thrive in space.

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
(Gen 11:4-8)

God placed man on the earth to subdue it and not the other planets.

Didn't the Babylonians strive to be greater than God? Taking the message of God to new heights is not promoting the idea that we are greater than God as you seem to be suggesting.

Just like people assumed there was no reason to traverse the seas centuries ago because there were so many hardships... It was only a few thousand people signing up for those adventures though.
Im not saying theres no reason, I myself would love to go deep into space and see whats there, just that I don't think its the same as crossing an ocean. Hollywood makes it look like bells and whistles but anyway back to the OP, God is always with us, you cant escape Him. My only question is would it be Gods will for anyone to colonise? That question I cannot answer.

God has established the earth forever, it will never cease to exist. Jesus could return with in 5 yrs and that will be the rapture and wrath for the world, then Jesus returns in 3 and a half yrs, to rule for 1'000 yrs. the, the new heavens and new earth. Soo, forget about space travel, not time for that .
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

Love to all, Hoffco
To you too.

What makes you think that?

Let me put it like this. If you mean space colonization as in humans living in space, then we all ready have that done with the International Space Station.

If you mean colonizing space, like I am assuming you mean going out on some Star Wars stuff, lol I don't think that'll be happening anytime ever. Not even to be all religious really, jsut look to the fact we do not even have base on the moon for myriad reasons, some simple, some more complex. Then figure just how much it would take to actually travel to the stars and then there's the whole fact that in truth ye know not rightly what exactly the stars are besides being stars or what is yonder for when ya get there if it were possible.

And heh that's all just granting nothing would go wrong on earth forestalling such a project, but alas, we live in earth many things will forestall that project. But meh, worry not, for travelling to the stars is vain anyways seeing as they shall perish and we shall have new heavens and new earth through Jesus.

The Bible doesn't speak of space stations, colonies on other worlds, TV, internet, radio and many other things. I have faith God has a plan for everything and personally would love to see a space colony.

You will find various responses. Many similar to what was said about heavier than air flight.

We currently don't have the knowledge of the natural world we need to achieve colonies in space, but you never know what God will allow to be revealed in the future.

Heh I get this too. Don't get me wrong I would enjoy much to colonize the lonely universe and spread life if other planets even existed at all or other suns. Destroy all the aliens that don't exist, etc. Lol its Star Wars fantasy (or for some star trek, lol but star wars is cooler.)

Lol but it ain't gonna happen, this earth and the heavens shall perish by fire and Jesus will lead his goodly flock to the waters of life, let no man deceive you of that.

Interesting science fiction maybe, but in the reality, no, lol its not possible for us, even without the Bible I can tell you this truthfully. Just turn on the news, watch the news for one week closely. Judge for yourself.

When heaven is revealed it will make anything man can dream of look like a donkey with pots clanging on the side.

To the OP. The bible has nothing to do with space colonization because it simply want happen. People are starving and hurting out of work and no jobs available. It cost billions to go to space. People want stand for it, I gonna go out on limb here and say that in less than 5 years ( maybe longer) if things don't change people will be rioting in the street and if the Lord tarry's that long.

remember tower of Babel? sometimes i wonder how far He'll allow us to reach.
(not Europa!! haha 2001 joke)

at the same time my vote is yes, start building the space elevator.

If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven,
from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee
