What should be our expectance with regard to the next year?
• “And four great beasts came up from the sea, different from one another.” (Dan 7:3);
• “These four great beasts are four kings; they shall arise out of the earth.” (Dan 7:17).
Pay attention carefully to the existent similarities in these three verses. Daniel saw four beasts “came up from the sea” (Dan 7:3), but the angel said that “they will arise out of the earth”. That is to say, these four beasts came up from the ruffling that arose in the middle of Creator’s people (meditate on Jer 23:15).
In our days the history will repeat:
• “And I stood on the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns. And on its horns were ten crowns, and on its heads was the name of blasphemy.” (Rev 13:1);
• “And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. And it had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon.” (Rev 13:11).
Specially considering that:
• “Little children, it is the last time. And just as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have risen up, from which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they were of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out so that it might be revealed that they were not all of us.” (1Jn 2:18,19).
So, let’s not to give in to the hullabaloos of our society. As it is written:
• “Do not say, A conspiracy! to everything of which this people says, A conspiracy! And do not fear their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify Jehovah of Hosts Himself, and let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread. And He shall be a sanctuary for you,…” (Isa 8:12-14).
• “I, I, am He who comforts you. Who are you, that you should fear a man. He shall die, or from the son of man? He shall be made as grass? And you forget Jehovah your Maker, who has stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. And you dread continually, every day, because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy. And where is the fury of the oppressor?” (Isa 51:12,13);
• “So says Jehovah, Do not learn the way of the nations, and do not be terrified at the signs of the heavens; for the nations are terrified at them.” (Jer 10:2).
• “Let your way of life be without the love of money, and be content with such things as you have, for He has said, "Not at all will I leave you, not at all will I forsake you, never!" so that we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me." (Heb 13:5,6).
After all:
• “And many false prophets will rise and deceive many.” (Mat 24:11).
So, take heed that nobody deceive you (Matt 24:4). Although the world is in uproar, have an awesome new year rejoicing in the Creator (the God of our salvation – Hab 3:18), looking to Him and biding for Him. Certainly He will hear you!
