i love this list. i sounds a lot like the kind of questions i enjoy hearing the answers to.

i also love abstract hypotheticals, just for kicks. i find all of that subconscious stuff terribly fascinating.

1. I would say Charles Reiffel is one of my favorite artists. California post impressionist. His landscapes are beautiful and sometimes have a subtle cartoonish element to them that makes his paintings fun. The city scapes are just as beautiful and similarly have a touch of whimsy.



2I've had a little patch behind my right ear at the temple of grey. I've had that since I was a teenager. I hoped that when I grey, the patch indicated that I would have these cool grey streaks at the temples that would make me look very distinguished as I aged. But alas, that's still the only grey I have....unless I less my stubble go for a few days, then it shows up there.

that's so crazy. i have never known anyone to have a weird patch of white/gray. and then i noticed that my brother has a tiny patch of the same thing, and it's right in front, at the top of his head--super noticeable.

and then he was the only other one i'd ever known to have that.

i just assumed i'd landed on my head one too many times. : )

I like them, unless they are overgrown and not trimmed, yuck. No offense.

If it has a good tune and isn't RAP, I'm usually OK with it. I don't care for rap music or music with horrible lyrics in them. Sorry I'm also not into heavy metal.

It was OK, I didn't hate it. I had a few friends that I'm still in touch with. I was nice to people, most people were nice to me.

I met him at a skating rink. I don't think he wanted to be there, but he came with friends from a nearby AFB where he was stationed. He was very quiet and always seemed so serious; but the day he kicked my behind in a race I saw the most mischievous grin I'd ever seen. I couldn't look away.

Have you ever eaten a bug?

Yep. I went into the bathroom in the middle of the night to get a drink of water. I didn't turn on the light or rinse the glass out first and a tiny spider bit me on the inside of my mouth on its way down. Lesson learned.

Love them, especially if there are swings

I'm not a fan unless there's some way I can bathe or shower. I do love to hike though.

How many brothers and sisters do you have?

I had one brother. He had hemophilia, which affects the body's ability to heal by having blood clot. In the 80's before they knew how to screen for HIV, he had already been infected and died about 10 years ago due to complications of the disease. My parents would never have brought any other kids into the world knowing that there was a 50/50 chance of having a genetic disorder, or of being a carrier, but he was diagnosed as a baby and I was already on the way. I guess I'm supposed to be here...


Do you like animals?

Love 'em! They are delicious! Some of 'em make great pets too.

Yes! I even have a picnic basket. Of course right now, it's full of prizes for my piano students as they can redeem the stars they earn for practicing, etc. for prizes. Some of my students I teach on my way home from my "real job," so it's nice to have the prizes in something portable.

Not very often, but it's fun.

I rarely get to the snow, but enjoy playing in it when I can. Glad I don't have to shovel the stuff like some of y'all.

Cold.

I think it would be cool to have one, but I hate that "in-between" period when it is just long stubble. It drives me crazy, so I end up just shaving before it becomes a real "beard." If my hair were darker, the stubble would look fuller, and I would probably grow a real beard then.

Impressionistic or of the late Romantic period.

I was a weird high school kid. I got along with everybody. Of course, I was a band geek, but I got along with the snooty drama folk, who hated the band geeks, but I did tech work for them. The stoners who smoked in front of the auto shop, the Bible Thumpers, the foreign language clubbers and the artistes were all my buddies. Usually, though, I just kept to myself.

1. - Tim, the "Tool Man" Taylor - The only reason his projects failed was because of getting a little too ambitious. I am sure that if I could get him to tone things down, he could build a boat for fishing, or maybe to sail off the island.
