Mom Says 6-Year-Old Son Is Transgender. Dad Disagrees. Now He Might Lose His Son.

ByAMANDA PRESTIGIACOMO

A Texas father is fighting for his son in court after pushing back on his ex-wife's claim that their six-year-old is a transgender girl.
According to court documents, the young boy only dresses as a girl when he's with his mother, who has enrolled him in first-grade as a female named "Luna." The father, however, contends that his son consistently chooses to wear boy's clothes, "violently refuses to wear girl’s clothes at my home," and identifies as a boy when he is with him.

The Federalist reports that the mother has accused the father of child abuse in their divorce proceedings "for not affirming James as transgender" and is looking to strip the dad of his parental rights. "She is also seeking to require him to pay for the child’s visits to a transgender-affirming therapist and transgender medical alterations, which may include hormonal sterilization starting at age eight," the report adds.

The father has been legally barred from speaking to his child about sexuality and gender from a scientific or religious perspective and from dressing his son in boys' clothes; instead, he has to offer both girls' and boys' outfits. The boy consistently refuses to wear dresses, according to the father.

The boy was diagnosed with gender dysphoria by a gender transition therapist the mother, a pediatrician, chose for her son to see. According to the therapist's notes, the boy chose to identify as a girl when he was in sessions alone with his mother; alternatively, he chose to identify as a boy when he was in sessions alone with his father. The Federalist reports:

[A] dossier filed with the Dallas court says that, under the skilled eyes of the therapist, the child was presented two pieces of paper, one with the word “James” and one with the word “Luna,” and asked to pick the name he preferred. When the appointment only included his mother, James selected Luna, the name and gender he uses at his mother’s home and in his first-grade classroom. When the appointment was only with his father, however, James pointed to the boy name James, not the girl name.
Moreover, the father has collected testimony from parents of his son's friends and a church leader who say they have only seen the six-year-old identify as a male.

The boy's pastor, Christ Church Carrollton Bill Lovell, said, "Based on the three occasions I’ve spent time with him, I’d say he acts and looks unmistakably like a healthy six-year-old boy. ... I am praying for [him], an average six-year-old boy, a sweet-natured, intelligent, lovable and at this point particularly vulnerable young man, caught up in a titanic clash of worldviews."

"His mother came to pick up the boys to take them to [his brother’s] soccer game," recalled Sarah Scott, a family friend and mother of three sons who are close with the boy. "[He] hugged his dad and said, 'Love you.' He refused to go to the soccer game as a girl with mom and stayed with dad. That evening they came to our house."

Needless to say, the gender dysphoria diagnosis is being contested by the boy's dad.

Walt Heyer, author of Trans Life Survivors and former transgender female, warns that the potential diagnosis could ruin the boy's life, similar to what he went through after he was secretly cross-dressed by this grandmother for two-and-a-half years as a young boy.

"The diagnosis is critical, because labeling a child with gender dysphoria can trigger a series of physical and mental consequences for the child and has legal ramifications in the ongoing custody case. Get it wrong," Heyer writes at The Federalist, the boy's "life is irrevocably harmed."

The boy's "precious young life hinges purely on the diagnosis of gender dysphoria by a therapist who wraps herself in rainbow colors, affirms the diagnosis of gender dysphoria, and dismisses evidence to the contrary," argues Heyer. "Remove the 'rainbow' from [the] diagnosis, and it crumbles under the weight of the criteria for the diagnosis of gender dysphoria."

The author warned, "If we do not save [the boy] from a misdiagnosis, his next step is chemical castration at age eight, only two years away."

The family fighting to save the boy from the potential misdiagnosis has set up a website called "Save James."
so godless "train up a child in the way he should go...."

One thing I wanted to mention, this concept of genital mutilation of a person's sex just to further an agenda is like comparing the way how the strangers were treated in Sodom concerning the beds, if person to big, cut him down to size. There are 2 elements here that share something in common, and that is the mutilation of a person in one way or another to satisfy the desires of sick people. Modern day Sodom if you ask me, and many western countries are like that too.

Jesus saw the future and chose to die for our sins. We see a glimpse of the future through our Savior's eyes............and thank God He did.

What should our views be on LGBT. This is posted on christian family forum.

We can look in the Bible and see in Revelation that those that practice sexual immorality wont inherit the Kingdom of God. This is sad but the thing is God did rescue Lot out of Sodom and Gomorrah. The city was so wicked that even guests were pressured to engage in immorality. Even then he quibbled and tried to stay, and his wife did look back and got turned into a pillar of salt. GOd destroyed that city with fire and brimstone. That is a warning to us.

When Lot fleed he took his daughters with him, yet, they both committed incest with him. From them the ammonites and moabites descended. As you might recall, Ruth was one of the moabites. Ruth chose to stay with her mother-in law Naomi and serve her God. She married Boaz and had a son, and he had a son who was the father of King David. And from King Davids line we get to Jesus, but Ruth is listed in Jesus ancestral family tree.

Paul tells us those that practice sexual immorality (and any one of us may have been guilty of this in the past) who've repented are now new creatures in Christ.

Does any of us have friends or family members or workmates that are caught in bondage to sin. We all know people, we need to pray for them to be delivered. If they will not listen then we need to flee any fornication going on, esspecially if we are young. I know a christian lady whos daughter is in a lesbian relationship. She just prays for her though her daughter knows its wrong as she was raised christian. It must be really hard for her but her daughter wont change her mind or heart. She was telling me that now her daughter wants a child and they going to have a test-tube baby with a sperm donor. So she may be a grandparent, but I dont think she would hold anything against a grandchild who she may be raising if her daughter cannot do it.

Nowadays there are test-tube babies being born and growing up with maybe up to four mothers and no fathers. I know people who are test tube babies. Are they condemned because of their birth circumstances well they dont have much choice in the matter. But they can know who God is if we tell them. It doesnt seem to me the LBQT lifestyle works out for these people, they might soon realise they cannot reproduce and whatever cities they inhabit will eventually be destroyed through their sinful actions. And yes there was a plague of AIDS and other STDS that was a consequence of this immorality. 'Safe sex' did nothing to change it. There are many cities now with immoral populations, red light districts, child trafficking, blatant pornography etc. not saying the countryside is free either but God knows people try to hide in their darkness. He will rescue the righteous out of them but we need to be prepared to flee if we stuck in amongst wicked company for a judgement is coming.

Hey all,

I seem to never be on the same page with other Christians when it comes to LGBT issues. I see it as a disgusting sin that brings judgment upon the nations that accept its practice.

I'm always get accused of being judgemental, they say hate the sin not the sinner. However, I want no part of it, I cannot stand to know anyone who is LGBT. When in contact with them and despite becoming purely disgusted and very uncomfortable, I do treat them with respect just like any other person.

They see it as it's just like other sins, agreed, sin is still sin. But, this sin is praised and accepted throughout nations, practiced in communities, and accepted in churches. Would you praise a drunkard? Fight for rapist rights? Fly a flag supporting pedophiles? everyone sins, but no one should glorify it and it is against God's word.
the problem is one cannot justify the sin of homosexuality and it's demonic offsprings by pointing to other sins. You know why LGBTQ is an abomination? Because it is rooted in deception and a lie. This sin is supported by those who know it is wrong Preachers, teachers, judges, lawmakers and mainly Parents. They are causing children to fall and are not speaking the truth in love which IS telling the truth to begin with. MOst who have family members in this sexual sin see non-acceptance of the sin as not showing love or being loving. that is a lie. What Parent would just stand by and say I love you and watch their toddler play with a lighter? If that child was to hurt themselves you would go to jail for child neglect. YET we do there very same thing because we have a family member or friend who is in this sin. Jesus would not do that. He would heal them, set them free, then tell them to go and sin no more, unless something worst happens to you.

I view it as a mental illness. They need help. Clearly, it is either a nurturing issue or a genetic defect (nature). What could possibly be the benefits of sticking a penis up another mans no-go-zone? They feel pleasure from it but pleasure stems from something that is meant to be useful and so your brain rewards you for it. E.g. eating and thus your brain releases dopamine. Thus, their brain is stimulating pleasure for something that just isn't scientifically useful for anything. I call that a mental disorder.

I am a scientist, so yes, I do know a little about what I am saying. I understand human anatomy and physiology and how natural sexual reproduction occurs. This is impossible for two people of the same sex to accomplish. Thus, from a scientific point of view (which is what I originally stated) there is no use for it other than for pleasure, which is a misguided pleasure due to the fact that pleasure is an award system used by the brain to encourage a useful behaviour. Thus, it is fair to conclude that it is a mental disorder. Here is a bit of advice if you are willing to accept it. To avoid conflict you should not tell people that they don't know anything about a subject and then not saying anything about it yourself as it comes across as condescending :) However, perhaps you do know a lot more than I do about this subject so please enlighten me. I mean how else can you tell someone that they don't know anything unless you know a lot!

It's a sin issue plain and simple. God wants to deliver them. We are to witness in love.

So what is the purpose of the Clitoris, Just for pleasure. "Thus, the clitoris is stimulating pleasure for something that just isn't scientifically useful for anything. ---> so women have a mental disorder?

BS - who ever said that sticking it up a mans no-go-zone or even a womans no-go zone is not right. If you like it you like it. I also does not say that all gays do it. What about lesbians.

My answer is from the Bible. If you consider that "BS" I cannot help you. The Bible says it is a sin issue. Whether men with men or women with women. Same issue.

Yes but the bible also like incest too.
