Once you were saved, what was the 1st big struggle or sin that He freed you from?

For me, it was swearing. I used to have a terrible mouth where there seemed to be 1 curse word every sentence. After I was saved, it went away completely.

About the only thing you'll hear out of my mouth nowadays is a "Dagnabit" or a "Holy Buckets!"

How about you guys?
 
Unbelief would seem to be the first sin that any BELIEVER is delivered from.....

He has delivered me from numerous sins and is Delivering me a step at a time from the ones that hinder my walk<----what I mean by this is the fact that there are some things in OUR LIVES that take time to master over....

Some sins were easy to quit, some are a little tougher....the spirit is indeed willing, but the Flesh IS WEAK!

rather personal............and Jesus said if you are guilty of one of 'em, you are guilty of all of 'em..........so it seems to me that if He delivered you from one of 'em, He delivered you from all of 'em...........

To answer the OP title only, AND because I feel like being funny, lol, :) I would have to say, that technically the first thing God delivered me from would be my mother's womb when I was born!! LOL. :p Seriously, though, I would have to agree with Dan58, and say that God saved (and still does) me from myself and my destructive ways.


 
Suicide is the first thing God delivered me from, since I became a christian while holding a knife to my own throat.
