Uhhh....
sorry, I've overlooked/missed some notifications here to my own thread.

YIKES!
This isn't really realistic (is it?)
But then again, I did say

hmmm

Well, in that case @Ceph I'd be doing A LOT of prayer!

New question:
Ehhh, I'm drawing a blank right now.
Anyone want to give the next question?
I'd probably think I was kidnapped into a war or something or had done a quantum leap cos that wouldn't have ever happened to me. I wouldn't really be thinking though, in a situation like that my brain would be in fight or flight mode. Because I'm not a fighter, I would be flying away as far as I can.
If was trapped like a POW yea I'd be praying, like Corrie Ten Boom, and it would be Psalm 91.

I was recently talking with someone who was filling out an online survey for the company she works for. She was giving positive feedback, yet complaining to me about all the things she disliked. Some were covered in the survey, yet instead of reporting her dissatisfaction she continued to give positive feedback. I asked her about it and she told me "Oh, I never like to give people negative feedback. I always want to be positive, encouraging and uplifting".
🤦‍♀️ But that's what the surveys are for, let us know how we're doing. Good, not so good? How can we improve and do better?

I began thinking about how I'm not like her at all in that sense, and how I would respond to a survey.
And then I thought maybe we could take this concept and turn it into a game. (@seoulsearch you've rubbed off on me 😝 )

Here are some lose, general rules, or guidelines:

To start, I'll explain my response to the above scenario, Then end by asking the next player "What would you do?"
That person will answer, my question then give a new scenario, asking the next player "What would you do" etc...

These can be as silly or serious scenarios as you want to make them. The only "rule" er, request, is that we keep the scenarios simi short and brief and don't get too long winded  (thinking of myself here... absolutely not anyone else came to mind with it 😜 . )
Aww, who am I kidding?! Write as much or as little as you need to in order to get your example or reply points out.

And most important: Have fun
!
Great theme Godsgirl, constructive criticism really does exist! i've been grateful for it myself many times and genuinely welcome it, I have genius burns moments for sure but also have my fair share of unintended consequences too.

What's sad is the world is now a pretty angry, frightened place, so many people are losing the plot along with their temper. Christians are so blessed to know current events have to be for now and that the LORD will sort it all out at the perfect moment. So hope my children will realise it too.

Ah! So seems to be my word of the day............

Scenario
There's a wildfire and your home is in the path of flames. What do you do??

Little Johnny and dad were walking along the beach when little johnny grabbed his hand, drug him to the shore, and pointed to a dead sea gull. "What happened?" he asked. Dad quickly replied, "he died and went to heaven." Johnny thought for a moment then asked, "Why did God kick him out?"

um
If came across a dead seagull, I would probably be a bit horrified and wonder what killed the seagull, cos usually seagulls are clever and fly away, they are not usually lying on the beach dead.

If there are lots of seagulls on the beach they would be pecking at my lunch.

So I would probably be like Johnny and if I was his dad, I would investigate or notify bird rescue that something is mysteriously killing seagulls, maybe this one ate too much junk food?
If this was the case I would then educate little Johnny on the dangers of dumpster diving and eating junk food.

ok...back to my question

What would you do...if your heart was torn in two?

Genuinely cry out to the only one who can bind up a broken heart. Isaiah 61:1.

This is a true scenario that I find myself in. Not too long ago, I started working for my present employer in a sales-related job. The way this company works, sales reps are assigned regions where they work based upon where they live. I did my research before applying for the job, and I came to know that my region is one of the worst regions in the nation. So bad that the company paid the sales reps in that region an additional flat-rate salary every week to compensate for how bad the region is. With my luck, they stopped offering that flat-rate salary right before I got hired because one sales rep started making phenomenal sales in that region. The problem is that the rep flat-out lied to customers regularly, and that is how he obtained most of his sales. This I know for a fact. Now I am left working that horrible region without the additional flat-rate salary to compensate my commission-based sales.

Do I say something to my manager? In doing so, I would have to implicate the other sales rep or else it will just sound like I am a terrible sales rep who is full of excuses.

A hard one but I would need to talk to my manager about it. They will either understand or they won't. I don't believe in lying about things, honesty is the best policy. If you need to lie just to do your job, or do things underhand, the job isn't worth it.
If it hurts your conscience, if it is sin to you, don't do it.
I'd also pray i.e tell God my dilemma and ask for a better job or to be let go/released and do things His way. Sometimes we just need to have faith that things will turn out - all things work for good of those who love Him.
The other thing is we can follow God or Mammon, you can't love both. Thats a hard one for believers to take in but it will crop up all the time and you will need to choose between one or the other. What profits a man if he gains the world but loses his soul?

What would you do if you say something you believe in, and things that you know and have experience but you get ridiculed for it?

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I totally agree with everything that you said.

I don't think anyone's going to dare ridicule me after this.

Well, if it happens very frequently, I would try to set up camp at a place near their house, so that whenever they want me there would be no need for strife or kinks in plan fulfillment. Just get up & go. (That way I would also know if they were messing with me).
At the same time, I would also press them about everything they would need me for doing for them in advance, so I can be like a super-friend, doing the plumming work on their house, getting in the attic and patching up their HVAC system, lubing up the hinges on all their doors, killing the wasp nests around their roof, waxing their floors, upgrading their systems, etc. even doing things that they never asked for, I'd just up & make all their possesions perfect and working like new, working straight to get all it done in a few days.
As far as dates are concerned, I'd make the date after their failed attempts. Arrange a good date, a memorable date. A date they's want to reflect on (in a good way) for a while so they wouldn't want to ask for another for a bit.

Next Question:
You wake up one day to find your wrists and ankles bound with ropes in the back of a moving truck. You feel the ride for a while before it suddenly slows to a stop. You hear the doors from the cap open and slam shut, and suddenly outside there are men shouting in a forign language you've hardly heard in your life. They sound panicked, and suddenly there's two big BOOMs outside, like a bomb going off, one after the other, and everything shakes as it happens.
Suddenly the cargo gate opens, and you're greeted by a man holding a rifle in full combat gear. He looks shocked, and turns out to not be a part of the perps who nabbed you, but a member of a mercinary group working for another forign country. He breifly splurts out something that sounds like he's shocked to find you, before freeing you from your restraints and rushing you to safety with the rest of his platoon. You're in a jungle, and there's gunfire as you're moving, but you can't see who's firing back.
You soon wind up in a bunker, where for a little while you sit still while the mercinaries discuss among themselves seemingly in russian. Finally, one of them says to you in rough english: "We're moving you to safety", before handing you armor and a rifle of your own and telling you "You will need it".

What would be going through you mind in this scenario? What would you think you've dont to wind up here, and how would you feel about having to navigate Avatar World Mod Menu a live combat area armed and equipped like a soldier?
The game is perfect for family gatherings, parties, classrooms, or team-building activities because it encourages creativity, communication, and problem-solving.

 My own thread and I haven't been getting notifications to it??? (And to be honest, I forgot I had even made it  )
My apologies everyone. But I am loving the replies and the style / mix of questions/answers. Keep them coming.

New question:

You are aware of some situations with a person that make them vulnerable.
You are also aware of someone in their life who is doing things that could cause a lot of emotional pain and distress.
You don't actually know the vulnerable person or anyone 'safe' that they are acquainted with, but you don't want to see them get hurt.
What do you do?

Has nobody answered this, I thought I had?

You are also aware of someone in their life who is doing things that could cause a lot of emotional pain and distress.

Well apart from closing your eyes because you don't want to see them get hurt, um...wouldn't you do something about the person in their life who is doing things that could cause a lot of emotional pain and distress.

What that is depends on what things they are doing. But since I don't know what it is in this scenario, its' hard to say exactly what I would do. You could make yourself the 'safe person for the vulnerable person, or you could restrict or restrain the bully or perpetrator, or you could do both.

If you can't do these two things on your own, call another person, or the authorities if it's serious. By doing nothing, bad things will keep happening.
