I apologize that the word sarcasm was misused. Me saying that a teenager being wrinkly now means that I am "off with God"? I never actually realized that determined if I was on or off with God. I'm pretty sure, but correct me if I am wrong, that it is not man nor womans job to determine this. I guess that joking is simply not aloud on this site, it is a shame really, God has one of the best senses of humor I know. Well either way, I see no wrong in calling a teenager that I am friends with and know wrinkly. I apologize that you don't share my sense of humor. God Bless you.
Actually, I really wasn't even talking about the "wrinkly" comment, just your comment on not getting the sarcasm. Joking is always good, laughter is the best medicine! However sarcasm in of itself is often cruel, or misleading even when you don't mean it to be. Also, my comment, "off with God" was taken from your own profile which states that you are on and off again with God. I was simply using your own words, I am very sorry if you took it the wrong way. I have no doubt that you are a believer, and have God in your heart. My point was simply that the few sarcastic remarks you have made in other posts as well can easily be taken wrong by some people. I just wrote in this particular post because it was one of your most recent, and I wanted you to make sure to read what I had to say. I am sorry if you thought I was insulting you, I just wanted to bring to your attention how things are easily misread. In the time I have been on this site I have read posts from some very disturbed, misguided, and confused people who need our help. I have no doubt you have helped many of them yourself through God's name, I hope I have as well. Forgive me for possibly being over sensitive, but know that I am not judging you, just commenting on your use of "sarcasm". Keep up the posts, I do like reading what you have to say! I hope that we can educate eachother, as well as others. God bless you as well, Caleb.

I just found it not your place to tell me that I was off with God. Yes you took it from me profile, but you also classified me as being currently off with God. When really, that is not the case. That's what bothered me. I understand now, that that isn't what you were trying to do. I'm sorry. I'm glad we have this cleared up though. Best of wishes to you and your family Juanita. God Bless.

You are right, it is not my place, only God can make that judgement and I am very sorry that you did feel judged by me, that was not my intention. However I did not "classify you" as being off with God. My exact words were that your sarcastic posts would be an example of off, meaning off the mark. I never said you, yourself are off, but I do think your a little misguided. Once again, I will say that if my 13 year old son came on this website and read some of your comments, he could very well be misguided. You are very impressionable to other kids in your age group. Saying that only "100% perfection is the only way to the kingdom of God", and another comment you made in another post: "once saved always saved so do what you want" do need clarification for young people like my son. They take things very literally, and don't read every single post so the connections aren't always made. When we read these comments by themselves they can be very confusing to some people,(like my son) even though you did not mean them to be. I am glad you did clear them up, and I understand now that your "sense of humor" is a little different than mine, but that does come with your age. I do hope that one day all of my sons will have your faith and be able to talk openly about our Lord with others. You are very blessed to have the faith you have at such a young age.
This will be my last comment on your sarcastic posts because I believe you are a smart young man and understand what I am trying to say. I hope you did read John 19:2,3 and see where my feelings of mockery(sarcasm) comes from. The definition of sarcasm itself says it all. As I said before I do enjoy your comments, and I am very glad we can have this conversation. I hope you have no resentment, and please don't have hurt feelings because that is not at all what I intended, especially as a mother of 3 boys myself.
God is good, and working miracles on this website! I am so blessed that I found it, and found such a wonderful group of followers, including yourself. Have a blessed day!

Thanks for the concern. God Bless.

Wow! Will be the first time of them in Brazil? I never heard to say about this group missionary.

Do you know where they're going to stay in Brazil?
Which is the church of them?
How do they work in the missions?

I am seeming Jack Bauer because of these questions. :)

Yes it will be my first time in Brazil, I've only been out of my state twice!
I'm not sure, I think we'll be in different places cause we'll be over there for a month!
I'm going through AYC( Apostolic Youth Corps)

Hmm, I'm not fussy. She should be Catholic, and devout.

Definitely organized and logical, because it would nicely counteract my messiness and idealism :P And hopefully a good planner :P

And driven, because I can get lazy, or just stop and smell the roses for too long. So I need someone to keep me motivated and active

She should be funny, or at least appreciate my lame humour :P

EDIT: Oh, and kind of short, as I'm kind of short myself. I'm about 5'8 or 5'9, so anywhere below that :P

Ok here's my long list of stuff I'd like in my future guy:

-Above all, Christian. He's got to love God more than he loves me.
-Love me for who I am, and accept my family.
-Be a strong leader of our family someday.
-Honest but doesn't judge.
-Have a weird sense of humor and make me laugh.
-Confident but humble.
-Supports my dreams.
-Loves music as much as I do.
-Be fun and crazy but also know when to be serious.
-Taller than me (I'm only 5'3" haha).
-I've got to think he's cute. :)
-Our relationship draws me closer to the Lord and he inspires me to be more Christ-like.

I might change on a few of these things but I really want my guy to have a great character. His heart will stay the same even though the outside stuff changes. :)

I'm still working on compiling a list for who I'd want to marry. I don't want to make it too long or anything so that no-one fits the criteria, but I do have some basics decided:

- Must be a Christian - not just a "Christian", but one that's currently growing in Christ and who is following God with all his heart. I'd like him to fundamentally be on the same page as me in this area, since I absolutely love talking about theology and etc., not to argue and prove someone wrong, but find out the truth of the matter. So someone who I can grow with!

- Can't smoke, or have any addiction to drugs or alcohol.
- I'd like it if he's taller then me. I find it funny that so many girls prioritize this one. Guys, does it matter to you, or is it just us girls?
- Should have a warm personality.. should have the right approach to a girl's emotions. I'm not excessively emotional (partly with the way I was raised in a very stoic family) but he should know that emotions are a very real thing in a lady and not just because of PMS lol.
- While past stuff can be forgiven, what they've done in their past will be seriously considered. Their past relationships, the way their parents are, and etc. all matters. I would prefer it if his parents weren't divorced or re-married. That alone rules out alot of people, but it's fairly important to me.
- Must be committed. Like seriously committed. If you're in a relationship for life, act like it. I see too many people who depend on their feelings or etc, and it gets them into trouble. Love is a choice, not a feeling so they say.
- Shouldn't be overweight. As nasty as that sounds to rule out people like that, I have my reasons. I honestly don't care if he's good looking though. It really doesn't matter much.

Anyways, that's just the beginning-- and I keep changing my mind on all the little things. Most importantly, I want to make sure when I'm getting to know a guy who's interested in me, that my parents know about it and tell me what they think! I've often heard that when falling in love sometimes rationality flies out the window.. it's nice to know I have extremely wise parents who will give me some input as well in the area of guys at those times!

I am sorry I do not want to but in or nothing... But,
Caleb has helped a lot of people on here I am sure, and one of the people was me... I f you had read my post on here then you know that I sure needed help and Caleb has talked it through and been there for me through all of it, and I really needed to talk to someone and without him I would probably still be cutting because he is the one I vowed not to cut anymore to, and he got me out of that mess... Sorry, I just thought he needed credit for that... It's of course nothing against you butterfly mom I just wanted to let you know that he has helped people

That is great news, I am glad that you have someone to talk to, and that you have been helped here. No offense taken at all, I have no problem with Caleb. The best support you can have are fellow Christians, close to your age who you can really talk to. That is what's so nice about this forum, we can ask for help, give help, and have discussions with eachother about our thoughts. Every post we make has the potential of helping others, influencing them in some way or another. God bless you, and may you keep your vow of not hurting yourself...with God.

Well, she must love video games. If she doesn't then she will get tired of me very quickly! Love me, love my Wii! X3
Also, I'd like a good girl. I'm not fussed about religious beliefs but where it counts I have a preference for Christians because some Atheists don't seem to tolerate Christian ethics (note that I said SOME).

she dont gotta be pretty first of all
loves god more than me
loves me more than anyone else
wants a huge family
a woman who does not mind workin in the garden
she has gotta know how to can and put up food
she will have to be willing to help me with ''gross'' stuff such as butchering chickens
she will have to be willing to homeschool our children
not a have to but i would prefer she can cook pretty good

One more for your list:

She'd have to be tolerant of poor English.

(Just kidding, pal).
