It seems like many modern conveniences have affected our health.
Studying Introduction to Nutrition at WVU, we learned how the wealthy ancients suffered common mal nutritional ailments that the poor peasants didn't. Most were due to processed foods they could afford.

With the end of small farms that were fertilized by manure, corporate farms only provide NPK, 3 elements/ nutrients. That's all that chemical commercial fertilizer provides.
That is being attacked as well .
The largest food producer in Europe is outlawing nitrogen as a deadly pollutant, just as they are carbon here .
Famine is being engineered and carried out in slow motion right before our very eyes.

Excellent. I like both.

I notice though that when I eat spinach, I experience a quick burst of extraordinary strength in my biceps, and weird images of tanks or nuclear explosions appear on or inside the arm.

Oh how I want her to be able to eat those.
When the doctor's insisted on the tracheostomy and stomach tube, I insisted on the largest port available so she will be able to eat real food when she gets home.
The hospice Dr refused and the surgeon said he only does the size available for the hospital IV sized tube premix only. After much deliberation it was worse than McDonald's telling me that she's only allowed to choose from their menu for breakfast lunch and dinner the rest of her life.
It upsets her stomach.

I wish I could afford to eat healthy. The stuff is too expensive.
It is especially difficult when one lives alone, and throwing out food because it has gone bad
after spending so much on it in the first place is just ugh! Do you have a favorite staple, like rice,
pasta, or rice noodles? Mine is pasta, and/or rice noodles. I just cooked some rice noodles with a
rather large broccoli crown, which I broke up after it was cooked and mixed into the noodles with
sour cream, a bit of ketchup, and some sweet/hot mustard sauce, plus black pepper and onion powder.
I did not buy ketchup for many years, but using a little in home-made sauces like that is da bomb LOL.
The whole deal probably cost about six dollars and is good for three meals, so I won't have to cook again
for a few days and that suits me well, too. I like buying multiple pasta shapes, also, even though they are
more expensive than plain old elbows. Haha. Makes it more interesting. And I will mix them with raviolis
or tortellinis in a similar sauce to the one I described. Or even some type of pot sticker that has meat (chicken)
in them. The pasta and torts/rav help the meat element go farther and lessens the cost per dish overall.
Sometimes you can get frozen (unbreaded) turkey or chicken burgers for about $12.00 per 6-8 patties which
is a good deal, and they fry up fairly quickly, too! Then just add some cheese or tomato or even just mustard
and mayo. One of those burgers is good enough for a meal for me + fairly economic and much cheaper than eating out.

That's why the farmers are pushing back.
My favorite videos are from the Netherlands of farmers spraying their capital with their manure spreaders. The only thing that would beat that would be a video of quitting time when the building checks out for the day.

I have some split pea lentils soaking overnight. Tomorrow I'll be working to make lentil pattys. My hubby loves this new recipe I found online (but made a lot of changes to because I don't like some or don't have some of the ingredients lol). I'll take some of the lentils, and some tuna, eggs, onions, etc., and mix and fry them all up together in pattys with gravy. Not sure yet... haven't really set in stone, the recipe yet. lol

Sounds like a good recipe.
Those little beans go with everything and are my favorite common bean. They really don't need soaked to cook in boiling water fast, BUT soaking helps get rid of toxic lectins.
That's a plant chemical that causes painful inflammation and crystals. That reminds me that I need to soak some beans for my meal tomorrow too. I'll pour off the water and put fresh in for boiling.

The same goes for bagged rice. We were given a ton of that, and I have yet to be able to cook it properly. It either stays too hard or gets too mushy, so I stopped attempting to make it. I have brown, and various wild varieties and even following packaging directions I haven't been successful cooking it. :confused:

I make nummy split pea soup!
Whenever we have a ham, the first thing my kiddos ask is how long before I make the green soup :LOL:

My Mom told me recently, before the hospitalization, that she threw away a bunch of beans. What she doesn't realize is that even beans and rice has gotten much more expensive. It will keep almost indefinitely if stored right, with the exception of brown rice.

We know from the globalists own words that they want to bring about famine, so I would store those for a rainy day. My teacher, Dr Peter Osborne, who wrote the book No Grain, No Pain, would probably disagree with me.
Rather than throw away good dry food, if it causes you no health problems and you're pain free, I would store it and use it periodically. Do you have a vacuum sealer? If you wait for a sale, they and the bags can be reasonable for a base model. Gasket lid buckets don't take up much space when stacked and thereare ways to get out the oxygen for long term. You can make hooks from metal coat hangers or by a 6 pack of hooks at Family Dollar. This doubles space if you want to hang the bags from a basement or pantry ceiling.

As to cooking instructions, there are keys to the rice that I've found helpful. I used to have the same problem with mushy or starchy rice until I learned how to improve my technique. Different rices call for different instructions too.

Don't give up, there are a lot of good instructions online for various beans and rices.
Although it's pricey these days, your husband will probably like Middle Eastern and Indian varieties of small beans if he likes lentils.
Have you ever tried the Dal's? One of my favorites are orange or yellow Moong Dal.
They are mild and have a pleasant flavor compared to the stronger tasting American/ European kind.

My favorite lentil soup to make is meatless Hungarian lentil soup. Very tasty. I also really like meatless lentil chili. Lentils are a favorite of mine over beans for a few reasons: I don't have to remember to soak them overnight, they cook up pretty fast, and they are just really tasty. Now, I want to go make some lentil soup.
