A majority of us want it. -That- romantic experience. That Ruth and Boaz or Romeo and Juliette (minus the horrible deaths) story waiting to unfold in our lives. Some of us seem to be on the brink of one, yet something is always in the background, pouring water over the flame and bringing us back to a state of doubt.

So what is holding you back from pursuing that person you have fallen for, what is (or was) preventing you from stepping out in boldness and declaring your feelings for someone?

Also, how many believe romance is dead? That chivalry was lost two centuries ago? Why do you believe romance does not exist in reality?

Yes, I'm sure we're all looking for the Ruth/Boaz kind of thing.

The second I see a beautiful young widow slaving away in my fields to collect scraps of grain stalks...
I will DEFINITELY give her my twitter.

I'm looking for more of a Bonny and Clyde, or Sweeney Todd/Mrs. Lovett type of story, only without the, you know, death...of ourselves anyway.

I'm held back because my Mrs. Lovett lives a million miles away, and there's no single women around here that over the age of 18.

I'm just going to say kids, it's hard to be romantic when you can't find a sitter and you can't even go to the bathroom without someone wanting your attention.

Heartbreak.

I don't think it's dead.

Romantic streak? Who's been spreading these vicious lies about me? ;P Practicality is far more important than warm fuzzies (hmmm… maybe that could explain it)

I won't say chivalry is long gone, it just seems like its a lost art in this day and age. When everything is about self-serving\pleasing and less emphasis on humility\kindness.

If you think romance is dead, then it is, if you want it you have to cultivate it in your heart and be it, only trouble is..the rare special people that believe in it, are few and far between it would seem..

I was listening on a sermon while on a treadmill at the gym today and the pastor cracked a joke that made me laugh out loud so much that everybody at the gym was looking at me hahaha.

What was Boaz called before he married Ruth?
