I'm just curious if it something like bordom or lonely or something else. Really I'm just curious if being lonely is the main reason people look at porn.


Basically, I'm trying to find the main reason that Christian look. Mostly I'm curious if loneliness is the main source.

Honestly for me when I was on it, I would get bad thoughts on what to look up and it was all different. But I had that "feeling" and then I'd get tempted to look something up. I'm not sure if that's even close to what you were asking for but that's what I felt.
 
What I noticed is that I was much more likely to look at porn when I had a 'spark' of sorts earlier in the day. For instance, if I saw a woman in a bikini earlier in the day, I was more likely to look at porn later on. If I was just randomly surfing the netz and saw a sexy site by mistake (pop-up or something), the image was in my mind and I was more likely to look at porn later on.

Rarely did I just decide to look at porn without having had some sexy something stuck in my head earlier in the day.

Once I noticed that, it was a whole lot easier to notice when those feelings were coming on, so I could unplug and go do something else. Even better, I knew that when I saw something like that, I knew that it probably was not a good idea for me to be online...Go do something else!

Wow. What a great observation. thanks for sharing that.

The only time I ever looked at porn was on occassions when I happened across it by mistake (in the restroom at a car repair garage, stuff like that.) I never purposefully chose to seek it out. Before I got married, I WAS curious, I admit, about all the "taboo" subjects regarding sexuality but in context of marriage I didn't think it was wrong to be educated. Actually, I think it's appropriate to be educated about healthy sexual interaction between a husband and wife, so I went to a christian bookstore in the marriage section and browsed through lots of books on sexuality within marriage from a Christian perspective. That helped me so much to gain a Godly perspective on what human sexuality should be like and how beautiful it can be as God designed and intended it to be. It also helped alleviate my natural curiosity. ;)
