I see an Aeturnus and a solitude Aeternus on youtube. Is warrior of the crescent moon one of their songs, or is that yet a different Aeturnus?

No, Aeturnus only has, i think one or two songs up. When i get around to it i plan on posting all the songs. I think i put one up in this thread a day or two ago. Purple and black cover.

That's back in the 90s i believe. Its a pretty reviled album, so it makes sense i would love it hahaha. And the song Ugly is the best song on there. Its so dark, and sung so poorly, and played so sloppy, but it makes sense. If it were tight and well sung it wouldn't sound right. Kind of the whole album is like that. And thats what most hate about it, but what i love about it.

Well hardcore was the metalcore of it's day, kind of.

Though you are the only person i've ever heard call Aeturnus hardcore. Tended to get labeled as thrash or thrash/death.
But, no, not really. Hardcore had a reasonable stint of popularity, years shorter than metalcore. There was a glut of bands, then it died out as the original bands started fading away.

They were going for thrash? You're right - they weren't very tight lol. The style of singing IS very thrash though. Now I want to track down some thrash metal... You may have just created a monster.

But you reminded me of artists that most people would cringe at. This is a power metal outfit out of brazil. Their work on the instruments is great, but the lead singer... ehh. I can't listen to the entire disc in one sitting but it's so good. It's like the bad sci fi movie you can't turn away from. The singer may have done better if she'd just sang in portugese.

Actually to be fair they got a LOT better with later releases. This one still has it's charm though.
